Harvest buds

I am a first time grower. I’m growing indoors. Can I harvest individual buds. The buds on top look ready. But the lower buds still have white hairs and don’t appear to be ready. Any advice would be appropriated.

Many call this staggered harvesting. It can be done but some plants don't like it. Just watch carefully when you start. The remaining buds may slow down or speed up ripeness because of the stress.

I’m wondering the same thing about my current plants that are 6 weeks into flowering.! I’ll take some pics at lights on time in case anyone has some advice! Thanks

I find the loop too hard to use. For a few more dollars you can get a USB microscope that's much easier to use. Get the one with a stand you can raise and lower, not the articulated arm with ball joints.

Here’s a normal pic of one of the buds on the smallest plant (easier to move out into a normal light for photographing). I think it’s Week 6 Flower currently.

Does anyone have an opinion on how much longer to leave them? I’ll take some pics of some of the bigger colas tomorrow if anyone is willing to give me some advice.

Going by the pistils, or hairs, I'd say you have a couple of weeks to go. Fifty to seventy percent of the hairs need to be darkened for the highest potency. Trichomes give you a better idea.
