Harsh weed

Hi guys I have a problem with harsh weed I didn't cured it properly after harvest I barped it only few times instead of everyday for 2 weeks now that weed sitting for around 5months in the airtight jar and it's very harsh anything I can do to fix it ? Can I try again to open it one time a day for 1h for two weeks or is it to late to fix it ?

Once dried it is hard to cure any further but if you remove as much leaf from the remaining buds , it will lessen some off the harshness. The leaves when dried too fast , trap chlorophyll which is what creates that harsh hay/alfalfa taste too. You could use a little piece of orange peel in the jar to try to add a little more citrus zing.

I’m a newbie, not an expert but I’m betting that will only dry out your bud and not reduce the harshness factor. But yes burp away

I do bud washing at harvest & that helps greatly. No it won’t wash off your trichomes or ruin your buds. Ever try to clean your trim scissors? It’s nothing but glue and water won’t touch it, you have to use alcohol or other solvent to dissolve that sticky bud goo. Those trichs are not water soluble. There is a water cure that can be done and it’s super smooth smoke but it also reduces the flavor down to nothing. When it’s good flavor / not too harsh - most of us love the taste of weed.

Usually I would dry untill stem brake and later I would put it to the jar and open it 1time a day for two weeks but this time I didn't done it and I regret it :q it's a nice smoke (shining silver haze) but the harshness is terrible I will try to open it everyday maybe it will help something who knows.. thanks for tip with orange

I been thinking about water curring but alot of People don't like it maybe I will try 1 time ^^

Yeah 5 months it isn't going to change or if it does change it will degrade in smoothness more if anything. Once it dries past the cure zone for RH it pretty much locked in as someone said above. We all hate learning that way, but one of those most of us have been there on some aspect or another where you go "well I won't ever do that again".

Unless you are sitting on a ton of stash, I say don’t gamble your entire harvest on one curing method. Split it up just to protect yourself. Half cured using your regular method, half water cured. I like to dedicate part of each harvest to making cobs too.
