Harden off indoor plants outside

I started off plants under a 250 w HPS and it's time to go outside. yesterday was cloudy so all is fine. today they are in a spot that gets 5 hours of sun. do I need to protect them from the light?

Yes, they can burn under the sun…. you want to slowly acclimate the plants

you can do giggle search on how to harden off plants for outdoors

Should only take a few days, five hours/day will be good unless It’s very intense sunlight, filtered sun is great for hardening.

That sounds like it. google they were saying 2 weeks. Right now they are getting around 4 hours of a setting sun.
