Just a note from the Campaign for the Restoration & Regulation of Hemp to
wish all Restore Readers and cannabis freedom fighters out there a Happy
Solstice week, a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, a Great Ramadan, a
Cheerful Kwanzaa, a Delightful Diwali, a Wonderful Los Posadas, a Happy New
Year, and, of course, a Glorious New Millennium!
This goes out to all the freedom fighters, but especially those we have
lost this year, those who are imprisoned for cannabis, or facing the threat
of incarceration to tell the truth to power about God's greatest gift to
mankind, the plant that will save the planet, cannabis hemp. People like
Peter McWilliams, Todd McCormick, Jim Rosenfield, Rufas King, Renee Boje,
Grant Krieger, Scott Beldsoe, Steve & Michelle Kubby, Ed Forchion, Woody
Harrelson, Lynn Harichy, Roger Christie, Laura Kriho, Alex White Plume and
family, Hazel Rodgers, Marvin Chavez, and all the persecuted medical
marijuana patients, the struggling Rastas and all the unnamed multitude
that have faced cannabis arrests, persecution and torture for their
commitment to standing for freedom!
Here's a holiday gift, my favorite quote, written by Thomas Paine on
December 23, 1776: "These are the times that try men's souls. The summer
soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the
service of their country; but he that stands it NOW, deserves the love and
thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet
we have this consolation with us, the harder the conflict, the more
glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it
is dearness only that gives everything its value. Heaven know how to put a
proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial
an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated."
