Hand watering rockwool

I want to really get the roots going by air-pruning before putting my plant in the DWC, so I'm planning on hand watering with a weak nute solution. What strength shall I use? Do you think quarter strength and pH balanced will be ok? I might do a short test grow doing this and take it up to scrog height then take it down.

Start at 25-30% of the label recommended concentration for whatever stage of growth the plants are in. Don't forget that you will be running drain to waste while hand watering.

It sounds like that's how you plan on feeding/watering your plants while they are out of the DWC.

I didn't know it was called that. I'm thinking about doing this part next week. I need to order 3 more T5's first and a few more chemicals. That 'science in hydroponics' site you linked is ace. Learned loads. There's a citric acid-potassium carbonate buffer he came up with that I'm going to implement in my nutes.
