H2O2 as an insecticide

Has anyone used hydrogen peroxide as an insecticide? Maybe I am being OCD about the little pests. Ordered Neem and Safer dust with B.T. While using water/peroxide to rinse fresh picked peas, I thought maybe it's ok on living plants too?

Read up that it can be. MIT studied caterpillars, appears they have evolved to know not to eat it. Also they had an article that says watering with a tablespoon per cup cleans the roots and soil. Kills off gnats, mites etc.
