The AJH was divine. For fresh cut and fast dried she was incredibly smooth to smoke. Almost no harshness at all and a delicious cerebral high. I recall smoking my first AJH and thinking it smoked smooth as silk. This specimen promises to be the same, if not superior in quality. Did you see the size of her?

I have! It always amazes me how much you can get going without it looking like the Amazon lol. My veg tent might make it a week .. flower 2-3 lol.

Jack reminds me lol. I'll be launching your Durban Poison soon. I have a Jack Herer I think I'll pop too. I've got test plants outside and they've yet to die lol so I think a week or two more should do it. Provided I get to soaking soon.

You inspired me to take a small taster branch of my Auto Jack Herer the other day. It's been drying on top of the light and reading this I decided it's ready to test, so I'm gonna do that right now, despite the fact that it's 3:39 in the morning and the birds have started chirping. I'll let you know how it goes.

See? I have a strong preference for things that don't knock you out. My time is my own and I've gotten used to my quirky hours. I seem to do quite well on very little sleep. I know that'll change at some point, but for now, when I consume cannabis I want no drop at the end. For the most part that's what I've grown. It's probably why I get so little sleep, but I'm ok with that. I have a rediculous challenge still, sleeping alone.

You must try and regulate that Sue and get some nighttime sleep. We repair our bodies and our DNA at night. Which makes sense because our DNA gets damaged during the day by sunlight. Not getting nighttime rest puts you at an increased cancer risk. In fact nurses, factory workers, and flight attendants that work at night have a 50% increase in the rate of certain cancers. Our circadian clock is meant to save our repairs for when we are supposed to be asleep (night) so sleeping other times is not nearly as effective.

So perhaps you should look for a knockout strain that can help put you to bed.

Sleep Sue dang it I can't stress how important it is. Trust me.. things start getting weird. If I just go go go until I pass out at the fire the next day is when it allllll starts. Right after a nice cold shower I go down to the ol' pond for a little fishing only to find Weaselcracker has installed a hydrohexapus line. I follow it out to the shed and there's Shiggs, Cannafan, Supergroomer and Major Pita all hiding in it trying to hide the stash. Of course then I find that Majic Jim left the hexa-expansion tank unplugged AGAIN.. sheesh AND then weedman79 runs out and shoots me with a tranq dart without even the courtesy of a good landrover run down. If you youtube "Iceman [1984] Wake up scene" you'll see the whole affair caught on video..

The Trans Siberian Kermit became a victim of all three intentionally. Had some pollen left over from the CSS so one cola is crossed with Dark Devil (front), one with Devil Cream (just behind) and one with Vertigo (far back right).

Can I come and stay? Good grief, you gave me goosebumps. The Red Poison looks fuzzy with trichomes!! What a magnificent crop. I'm in awe gypsy. I envy you this inventory. Too bad we're not neighbor's. Think of the sharing we could do. I'd be on the winning end of that arrangement.

So a rather scattered update.

I finally got a decent specimen of the Dark Angel into flower a week or so ago. Pics coming when they repair the uploader

It's seeding madness in the caravan lately. What is left of the Vertigo, Dark Devil and Devil Cream is on about hour 24 of 48+ darkness. I took a few more small buds off of them. The stuff is totally done, but I really hate opening a pod to a green seed lol. So one extra week turned into two and a dark treatment.

In the flower tent we have another unplanned but acceptable (lol) seeding going on. I was seeding a Permafrost a while back and thought I had taken off all the CS branch, but apparently I missed some. A couple of popcorn buds went nanner city. At least with this one I know who the father is So now we have Sweet God and Scott's OG crossed with Permafrost. The Sweet God really got it lol. Going to be lots of seeds. The Scott's OG not so much.. at least yet. There are a few though. Should be a couple of nice crosses really so I'm not too upset. The Dark Angel is still in the stretch so I doubt she's affected but I do see a seed forming on the nasty mother plant that has been flowering.

Black Cream getting bigger. She's overall a pretty big plant for an auto. I'll try and negotiate a full pic soon. Moving stuff around again and I may actually get to step back for it lol.

The amazing thing is it all started as a nice simple Sweet Tooth order. That's still all I paid for besides Tut.

We're back

Black Cream seed pods are splitting.

A few more Red Poison. Wicked stuff. Pulled five big fat seeds from a small sample. I'm almost glad that sample is gone. Wasn't getting anything done Pretty good stuff.

On to the flower tent..

Just put an Ice Wreck in the other day.

Here's the Dark Angel in the stretch. Took a little doing to get rid of the nitrogen hooks from her and the Ice Wreck lol. If I can keep the bugs off I think we'll be ok.

A stretchy Scott's OG lol. What's left after cloning. I may have to go for a reveg or another clone attempt. The first are not looking good. She sure shows that Rare Dankness side of the genetics though. I'm kind of excited to see how the Permafrost crosses come out.

OH and a note on the Red Poison. That is the first auto I have smoked that I could not tell it was an auto.. at all. She has a permanent home with me for sure

Now that's a recommendation! On my next order, for sure.

It started off so generic now she looks so much different than the breeder pics. It's gaining some complexity as well. Just before lights out it smells like fruity 99% isopropal alcohol. At lights on it's more of a fuzzy fruit spice wine. Seeds are coming out very dark now. Up to 7 and yes another small sample lol. Probably won't be much longer before she comes down. Her, the Black Cream and the Bloody Skunk are all on day 70.

I think I've been feeling the upcoming summer panic lol. Trying to crank a little of everything through before the real heat hits. Already getting warm. Things aren't quite so crowded now though. Been moving stuff outside slowly. Only a few more strains left to seed .. without crossing lol. I should be able to give the flower tent a break for July and August. Things should be getting pretty good just in time to start pest wars all over again.. already had a few minor attacks so I expect another bad year. That's part of the reason I want to back everything up in seed. Getting away from so much cloning should allow a little more individual focus. I'm going back to larger plants in the flower tent too so I'd better focus

I think I could have fun with a 4x4 and that 3x3 I won with MOTY that hasn't been unpacked yet. Without her parinoia to deal with I could potentially turn my bedroom into my grow space and move the bed into the living room.

There is no couch. When my husband died last year I found I didn't care to sit on furniture anymore and took to sitting cross-legged on the floor. I gave the couch to my daughter and her partner.

I was thinking a mattress tossed in the corner on the floor of the living room would suffice very well for me at this stage of life. Maybe I'd use it more often if it were right beside me. Lol!

OG Kush mother converted to outdoor. There's three more but they all look about the same so only one pic lol.

Permafrost clone I put out about 3 weeks ago. Growing fast!

and the main reason for being on the deck.. good light and some Permafrost nugs to trim.

Until the skeeters came. Then back inside lol.

Where we can get to work on that Red Poison sample cut earlier in the week

Nothing fancy, just clipped on the fridge until dry.

A box without hinges, key or lid, yet little brown treasures inside are hid.

A side project I've been working on. Similar to what Em's been doing with her microbial herd. This is a SCOBY concept similar to Kombucha. The SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) floats near the top, but in this pic you can kind of see the bacterial/waste mass that forms in the bottom of the jar.

The SCOBY can be seen floating near the top here. It's maybe 3/16" thick and fiberous. Unlike the yeast dominant SCOBY in Kombucha. This SCOBY is very delicate in comparison as well. I'm also changing the name to SCOMBY as mine also has Mycorrhizae in the mix. This is likely the source of the more filamentous colony. Yeast is no longer the dominant tenant, but appears to be still doing it's part in the process. Anyways.. yeah just a little Red Poison at lunch today I can hear the lights powering up now lol. I'll get into this more later..

Luckily only the Double Berry in front, one of the Lemon Skunk Auto's just behind, and one of the Crown Royals behind that are mine. The other two are dedicated for a trade.
