Hi again

It's time fro me to try new strains and compare the 2 brands of nutes I've been using so far and see which one works better. It's ths Strain Hunters Powder Bag Feeding VS Advanced Nutrients.

I haven't used Micro Grow Bloom from AN so far only the extras. Now i have them too.

So the idea is to grow 2 of each of the following Auto strains side by side same soil and pot size etc but with different nutes.

Strains : White Widow Auto
Super Lemon Haze Auto
King's Kush Auto
Exodus Cheese Auto All from strain hunters seeds

Germination process began last night.

I leave the seeds for 24 hours -in different for each strain- glass of bubbled tap water, with a couple of drops of peroxide of hydrogen and ph 6-6.5.

After that i will place them in wet paper using the same water they've been sitting into. They will probably need an other 24 hours to be ready for planting.

The tent has been cleaned with an organic solution water+ vinegar + lemon juice after the last grow.

Pots, fans, reflector etc also cleaned.

So everything ready for the new babies.
 
Gear is the same 1,45mx1,45mx2m tent. 600 watt HPS digital ballast, exhaust, one big fan to blow on plants and a small fan for air intake.

I also did a couple small upgrades in my lab. An 85 watt dual spec CFL with reflector and a co2 booster.
 
Seeds are in wet paper towels where they will stay at least an other 24 hours

30 hours after putting them into paper all except one have a tiny root.

The one that doesn't it's the only one that didn't sink in the glass of water. I think it will crack but it might take a little bit longer.

Also i sprayed the paper towels with the same ph-ed water (i saved the water from their glasses) .
 
The planting is almost over. Only the un-cracked seed remains in wet paper towel.

But first i forgot to mention a few details about the grow.


SOIL Biobizz Light Mix
POTS 6 x 30 Lt plastic pots 1 x 25 Lt Fabric Pot 1 X 18 Lt Plastic Pot
LIGHTS 600 W HPS dual spec with digital ballast + 85 W CFL dual spec.
EXHAUST a low noise 500 m3/ hour
TENT 1,45 X 1,45 X 2 meters

FERTILIZERS
MICRO, GROW, BLOOM From AN
3 For roots Piranha, Voodoo Juice, Tarantula, from AN, those will be given to all plants
3 For Flowering Big Bud, Bud Candy, Overdrive, from AN only for those that will get the AN Micro Grow Bloom
plus Sensizym, B-52 also from AN only for those fed with AN Micro Grow Bloom

1 bag from Strain Hunters Powder Feeding Bag for Short Flowering . Half of them will be fed only with this plus the root boosters.
1 bag from Strain Hunters Calcium Additive. Will be given to any plant in need
 
Planting

I like to add a layer of clay gravel, i think it's called, at the bottom of every pot for better drainage.

then i fill the pot slowly breaking any solid soil pieces. I try to fill them as much as possible cause after a few waterings the soil will drop deeper.

I prepared 1 Lt for each one with 1ml / Lt Piranha, Voodoo Juice, Tarantula, and watered only the center of the pots before planting the seeds. It's the first time i put root boosters before planting. I hope it works

Lights lowered at 48 cm and will start in a few hours with the timer, exhaust and fans working

The last seed of 8 cracked last night and planted this morning

It's been about 30 hours since i planted the seeds and still no sign of them. I'm a little worried.

I know sometimes they need a few days to come out but i hoped a couple of them to show in the first 24 hours.

And there is life. All 7 that planted first broke soil this morning.

The last one was planted one day later so i expect it tomorrow.
