Yuppers it's time! I'm taking the step into actually joining this community instead of just lurking and reading. After many years or so of reading, wishing wanting, to grow on my own I actually started growing about 18 months ago and have been through multiple harvests now. I am no where near a pro, and still consider myself a beginner, a beginner with a year and a half of growing.
It's been great reading posts, and grow journals about specific problems I have encountered and researching ideas of passing fancy. It's time to expand my hobby to be a little more "supportive" of my medicinal needs.
Using @600W of CFL and T5 Panel lighting Surround lighting I have been yielding 1.5 to 2.5 ounces of medicine per plant every 5 months or so, growing up to 5 plants at a time. This is not enough for my needs so I bought a 600W HPS light and expanded my space.
I had been vegging and flowering in a mobile 2'x4'x7' cabinet I built myself and put into my garage. I have now outgrown my cabinet and have taken my spare bedroom and converted it into an area to grow in.
My Medical Green card is being obtained in a couple weeks so I can breath a little easier now as well.
Since I am getting a little more involved with growing I am going to have to be a little more involved with my online grow communities I've been skulking around in.
