G'day fellow 420'ers.

So this is where I'll be posting from now on. For those that were following disaster struck when one of my AC's shut out while I was away for 48 hrs and the plants got cooked. Pretty much all those genetics I painstakingly germinated have goneski's. The saving grace is that through the b.s I had 1 OG Kush grown from seed, 1 Jack Herer grown from seed, 2 Professor Chaos grown from seed, 2 Night Nurse grown from seed, 1 Elephant Stomper grown from seed and my Sour Tsunami cut survive the ordeal. What was really awesome is that the Elephant Stomper and Professor Chaos were both from Regular seeds and all 3 are looking female "Knock on wood" :wood:. For the Night Nurse I think I've got a male and female so a Night Nurse IBL breeding might just happen here on this journal in the coming days.:thumb::cheer::thumb:

For those wondering about the Elephant Stomper and Professor Chaos let me further explain.

Elephant Stomper is a "Hazeman" production. He Took the Clone only and insanely rare Purple Elephant (Which funny enough is from an even more elusive clone only strain named Purple Urkle that was outcrossed to something unknown. California based) and then they crossed it to a Grape Stomper x Aloha White Widow male. I've yet to see anyone grow it out and get it tested so I'm going to find out what she is hiding and how much of that Purple Elephant I dream of still lingers in her loins :circle-of-love:

Professor Chaos is one of the newest productions from the TGA bunch down in California. I'm super excited for this strain to finish doing its thing. It's a Jack the Ripper cross. To be honest I'm REALLY not the biggest fan of Jack The Ripper but these outcrosses Sub and his army of breeders bringing out, are working for what I need. I have chronic pain and need motivation and this has been said to cover both those problems more than sufficiently. If It's anything like Mickey Kush then I am going to be VERY happy.

So what else do we have to look forward to... While I was gone I popped a bunch of seeds including Durban poison (regular), Space Bomb(regular), GSC(fem), Super Skunk(fem), Papaya(fem), Cannatonic(regular), THC Bomb(fem), and God bud(fem). Also to the family I was gifted some real treats. A newer Strain from the creator of Grand Daddy Purps called Bay 11. Appalachia (Tres Dawg x Green Crack) x Kens Kush. Obviously Sativa dominant. Also to the squad I was gifted both Black Cherry Soda and a supposed very rare Black Cherry Soda Green Pheno. Now from the research I've attempted there is no real info behind the green pheno. To my knowledge Subcool got Black Cherry soda from a friends garden and its a clone only cut. so how a Green pheno came into circulation has me baffled. Supposedly the Green pheno actually smells like Black Cheery Soda and tastes when smoking it in bubble hash form. So I have both and I'll test them both side by side in both a smoke trial and a test and compare the Cannabinoid/Terpene profile of each.

I have big plans for the Durban. I may do a very very very special breeding that has been 20 years in the making by taking my Papau New Guinea Gold pollen and cross it to a Durban Poison female. Making a new Pure Sativa strain by crossing two pure Sativa strains from opposite sides of the world. I will without a doubt be doing a cross of Durban Poison to Mickey Kush granted I have some good stock to choose from.

I thought I'd throw in a couple of quick shots. Just to get things looking like they should :)

So nice to see you back in action, Grow! May the Autumn be kinder to you than the summer was. I like the breeding plans...

Cheers Peejay! I've got a good feeling about things now. Spending a bunch of cash on new hardware does that though ;) I'm stoked about the breeding plans also!

Looking great, im planning on growing some og kush but I might go with a cross called blue og from g13. Keep it up Growlow

Nice one mate! Yeah I've grown Blue OG before. Coming from two Blueberry phenos crossed to OG Kush I was surprised to see some OG structure come through on the plant. For me personally I wasn't taken on the effect, smell or taste so it got the boot. For me I love those berry/citrus tastes but this just didn't deliver for me personally. I have a Blue Daddy (Blueberry x Grand daddy purple) which I like and keep in rotation.

Thanks for poppin in to say gday!

oh wow, I love the sound of that, whos the breeder. I adore gdp, check my grow journal, about page 4, theres a pic of a clone sent from usa, think it may of been from the breeder, this was before you could buy the beans. Also a nug grinded etc

This was one of my own breedings. I had some AWESOME Grand Daddy Male pollen and crossed it to a high testing 29% Blueberry cut I was gifted. I've only seen one other thing on the web about someone doing something similar. I crossed the same pollen out to a Blue Dream pheno as well with great results though to be honest I really am not a fan of BD I was pressured by peers into that one and that's that :)

I'm going to be launching my own genetics line soon. It's one of the ventures I've been working and preparing on launching ... hence why I am on here periodically as I consult to recreational producer/processors/retailers in Washington State USA as well for kicks. So I won't make, breed or release any feminized. No Auto's either. High CBD and High THC of 1:1, 2:1, 4:1, 20:1 and even in the ball parks of 37:1 (THC only) in some circumstances. I have a CBD project going right now which hopefully will break the 30:1 for the first time in recorded history :) With all that said my main focus is enhancing and diversifying the terpenoid profile as radically as I have with my Cannabinoid profile. The approach is that of someone who has worked in the industries of food, wine, liquor, beer, cheese etc. To blend and pair terpene strong strains to find a middle ground of synergy where all parts play to a much brighter picture. Grand Blue, Blue Daddy how ever it ends up being sold as, is one of those strains with an incredible and tasty terp profile.

I always fancied breeding myself but dont have the brains you obviously do. If I was to breed what youve already done would be high on my list!! Wishing you lived in the uk all of a sudden lol. I wish you the best buddy, hope it all turns out well for you, if u need a tester im here

Hello GrowLow, here you are. I'm over here. Doing my best quiet thing just waiting on you. :battingeyelashes:

Buckle yourselves in ladies and gents I've got a DOOZIE of an update.

Week 5 :cheer::smokin::party::smokin::cheer:

I'll also be doing a 1yr cured strain review on two strains

Bubblegum Kush

AND

Snow!

Stay tuned I should get it finished by tonight so maybe for some of you it will be something to wake up to :)

Cheers

I thought I replied and just realized I hadn't. I've read your journal mate and I don't doubt you have all the ability to breed (by the way Cindy is one of my favourite cuts.... that is if its the right cut ;) ). The biggest thing with breeding stable consistent and kick arse genetics isn't so much a roll of the dice for luck as it is patience and planning and not having the need or intention to rush. Pushing phenos to the limits of stress to see what all their weaknesses are before even considering their strengths. A plant that produces massive THC but is mildew, mould and bug susceptible has no place in my lab or garden. I strive to create genetics that are incredibly stable producing no more than 2-4 phenos out of a breeding. I do follow the standardized method of IBL (Inbred Line). I apply a method in which I don't just breed back to the parent but sometimes to a sibling/cousin when needed. That's what has got my CBD genetics to go beyond the 24% to 1% THC ratio. Without that method I'd be muckin around with 22%'s still. This is a time staking process but it's worth it!

If you're thinking about OG Kush seriously, I strongly suggest dinafem OG Kush original and feminised. They have a great selection of phenos some rarities that you can get from the original and the pheno they feminise for sale is awesome too.

I may turn in early tonight, but I'm stopping here first thing in the morning if I do.

I grew a feminised dinafem OG a while back. It was well behaved and produced some really nice smoke. :thumb:

Chronic has grown it in DWC as well and is very high on the strain (pun intended.)

Very tidy mate I lucked out on an old regular batch of dinafem and got both the orange and lemon pheno... to go along with my other rare OG strain Diablo OG ;) The pepper pheno

Hey guys and gals,

Please excuse the late post. Right now I'm starting a business which hinges greatly on a specific resource.. HONEY... The concept is to create a natural occurring new superfood. It's such an intricate concept requiring so many specific environmental factors to become what I hope will be like I states previously a SUPER food... and I plan to do my best to give the stuff away for free or as close to free as possible. Mother nature decided to throw a stick in the wheel so my attention was required elsewhere.

I've been trying my best to play catch up. It seems most of you are all growing beautiful girls like I expect.. ooooh pressure! I kid, I kid. I'm sad to hear what happened to our good friend SoilGirl, although after what she had shared about the situation it almost seemed inevitable as morbid as that sounds and I hope she pops back in to say g'day! My heart go out to you darlin!

Well I'm happy to report my garden is almost back to running in perfect conditions. I have purchased some very middle of the range room monitoring equipment to send me temp, humidity and CO2 readings at a whim or swipe as it were of the finger so here it is ...NETATMO...

This is the primary screen it shows both rooms I have Outdoor is Veg and Indoor is Flower.
Screenshot_2015-10-11-01-42-46.png

When moving my phone to the side the screen changes and shows a graph where you can dictate what you would like to see the levels of be it, CO2, Temp, Humidity etc.

The really cool thing is you can set alarms for specific purposes. I have alarms set for humidity or temp getting too high. So I will never worry about any more surprises if lets say... an AC dies on me. For those that know me, know my run of luck with AC's over the last 2 years. Samsung can suck a fat one! Anyway I digress.

I have some incredibly exciting news I have hesitated in sharing but its just TOO good not to. As some of you know I have grown and bred for 20+ years. I would like to present to you the newest of my strains which is one I have taken a lot of time and focus on stabilizing. Over 20 years ago when I was about to start highschool I met a guy by the name of William Skate. He was the son of the Prime Minister (at the time) of Papua New Guinea. Being friends he exposed a lot of his cultural delicacies that he brought with himm from PNG and would get through customs because essentially they were treated like a royal family. The two delicacies I was exposed to most was beetle nuts (addictive stuff) and Highland landrace Sativa PNG Gold always with seeds. For the big strain nerds that are in the know, know how sort after this strain is. It was the first strain I practiced the IBL method on. I eventually produced a strain that made so much resin the leaves would curl from the pure density of trichomes. I had 3 fem seeds that I grew and 2 died during the first AC issue I had over 2 years ago. I pollinated the one fem that lived with some Micky Kush male pollen. A strain known to produce 28%'rs. I then popped over 120 seeds and found a very impressive male with massive potential that I dusted onto a VERY rare OG Kush cut known as Diablo OG. Two of these cuts were produced on the Pacific Coast and one originates from the depths of the Pacific Islands. So I am yet to test this strain but will be doing so here in the next few coming weeks. I present to you Pacific Gold! also Day 42 she matures at 8-9 weeks.

I have the impression we'll be above the 23% mark on THC. I have peers in the industry who have been privy to this cut first hand, tend to expect something much larger but only the test will tell.

So to the rest of the garden. I have photos taken from week 6 that I am going to share with you. Including a couple upskirt shots as the sugar is always sweetest where covered up. So without further a do,

Day 42

Jack Herer (Shame photo no 1. I brought in a cut from a friends garden for breeding purposes and due to time constraints I had to bring into flower and with it, came a couple gnats. They are gone now because of my organic oil extract application which took care of them. With that said it would seem during my cleanup I missed one or two of the mongrel dogs. It's not a worry to me as I will be washing EVERYTHING. See if you can spot em)

This is the ONLY Night Nurse that survived from my 12 pack I purchased. I can see how they goot a 1/2 pound from a 7gl pot.

I have a handful of other plants that are a couple weeks into flower I'll take photos of tomorrow and show you all.
For whatever reason I'm having trouble uploading the photos I took of the 1year old cured stash I was going to do a review on, so that will sadly have to wait. I hope you are all high and happy when reading all of this.. I surely am and am up in the early hours of the morning writing this. We still have a lot to look forward to. I still intend to do the tissue culture demonstration as well as a deeper explanation in why I do not believe in "genetic drift" but do believe in genetic degradation which can be caused by the simplest of stresses or by an inexperienced gardener with the best of intentions. I'll also in this journal be showing you all how I breed, my methods of long termed storage of pollen and also methods of collecting pollen. Til next update, Cheers :)

Pacific Gold, Professor Kush, Night Nurse - - Perfetto - - :ciao:

Hehe late night posts eh! Professor Kush is actually Professor Chaos. I have a breeding planned with one of these pheno's which will eventually make Professor Kush one of the next strains from my line up :) Just thought I'd clarify. Thanks for stopping by Rado ;)
