Hello everybody!
Kinda nervous about starting this journal, but I am pretty confident and comfortable with my cultivation prowess as of now and wanted to share with you all what I do to grow my medicine. I officially started to grow cannabis in the summer of 2021, but I first popped a Bubba Kush bag seed in the summer of 2014. I had no idea what I was doing, but it veg fiercely for a couple of months before my mom found it in my room and told me to trash it. Though I was not aware of the concept of photoperiodism, I am proud in what I had accomplished all those years ago.
Shortly after home grow become legal in my state, I popped some unknown beans (Sugar, Honey, & Tea; above) that I had collected over the years and had a pretty successful harvest. Yeah, one of the plants began to show signs of hermaphroditic tendencies, so scrapped it before it got out of control. The whole experience was extremely therapeutic for me and loved every second of it. I couldn't wait to grow more, but I had to slowed down in order to speed up. I bought tons of reading material, and watched countless hours of cultivators and breeders talking about their process. I was hooked and I was not letting go.
On this grow, I will be growing two cultivars from two different breeders; EXTCGNTX & GRNPNTSDS.
I have an extensive seed collection from EXTCGNTX, but Sherbadelic caught my attention due to its sedative properties and large yields. The Triple Inferno from GRNPNTSDS is currently being tested by the community, but the genetics within this cultivar also tickled my interest.
Now that we got that all out of the way; let's get to work.
The Sherbadelic seeds are huge; like little dino eggs. Many are telling me great things about this cross and I cannot wait to see what's in store. The Triple Inferno seeds are very common looking, but the genetics within this baby is nothing to laugh about. Here are the seeds:
A couple of grows back a ran into a situation that I don't wish on my worst enemy. One of the 4 seeds planted never germinated, and after 13 days of no progress I decided to dig out the seed. To my surprise, the seed was completely gutted and being consumed by fungus gnat larvae. I learned a valuable lesson that day and decided to approach the germination process completely different.
I began to treat the soil with Summit: Mosquito Bits, a couple days before planting the seeds. The bits carry a bacterium called Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis or BTI for short. BTI targets and consumes the larvae of mosquitoes and in my case fungus gnats. On top of that, once the seeds have been nestled in the soil, I covered the top of the pots with 1/2 inch of dry perlite rock. This keeps the pests away from the seeds and gives me peace of mind. With all the preparation and effort put in to such a simple concept, it is always rewarding seeing the work not go to waste. All 4 seeds have germinated!
Germination was just over 4 days for all 4 seedling. They are currently on day 2 of the seedling stage and will be housed under better conditions once my current grow is done drying in 2 weeks timed.

Let's do it again.
On this grow, I will be growing two cultivars from two different breeders; EXTCGNTX & GRNPNTSDS.

---|---|---|---|
EXTCGNTX: Sherbadelic (Power Sherb x Sunset Runtz) | 80/20 Indica | 3 | 56 - 63 days |

- This will be the 4th round with this soil. The 7 gallons of soil is broken up after harvest and re-amended in a space container with several inputs. The inputs are: 2 tbsp Azomite, 3 tbsp DTE Oyster Shell, 5 tbsp DTE All Purpose, and 4 cups COM Worm castings. Water is then added to ensure even moisture through out the soil before being potted and set aside for a couple weeks; two weeks minimum.
- Instead of the 5 tbsp of DTE All Purpose, I will be using 10 tbsp of COM Stonington Blend - Organic Plant Food this time. This is the same formula that is originally used to create this soil. This is a trial, so I’ll be monitoring this closely.
- These are used to amend and to top dress the soil.
- Used to top dress the soil when the plant is in flower. Usually 2 tbsp after the plant has finished stretching.
- Used in compost tea brew.
- Used in compost tea brew.
- Used in compost tea brew. Watered in weekly at .6 ml per gallon of water.
- Used every watering at 1/2 tbsp per gallon of water.
- Used in compost tea brew. Watered in weekly at 1/16 tsp per gallon of water.
- Starting on week 4 of flower, this is used at 1/2 tsp per gallon of water, every watering.
- Used to amend, top dress, and brew.
- Used during seedling stage and after transplants at 1 tbsp per gallon of water.

Make yourselves comfortable and pull up a tab, there will be more coming your way.
