Growing Marijuana, Breeding Marijuana, Smoking Marijuana, Why Are You In The Cannabis Culture?

Hi folks.... Just curious how people around the world have found themselves involved with the Cannabis culture? We all have a story, whats yours? Myself I have grown up with hippies and bikers (talk about a motley crew lol) that inspired me to venture down the path of cannabis at an early age. Then as I became an adult I learned the medical benefits to the great plant and now use it to help with kidney stones, and of course to just kick back and hangout with like minded people! :)

I started in high school, quit before university. Then, as I was getting out of the military, Canada announced legalization. I was sick of how alcohol made me feel, and I wanted to be able to keep control, of the dose and of myself. And I love growing things. The garden is very therapeutic.
Your not alone on that road my friend, my brother did the same thing, hates what the bottle turns him into, but loves how the herb gives him his life back! :)

Started smoking as a teen and now I'm in my 50's and just got tired of meeting someone in a parking lot to get my stuff. Much easier to grow my own!
Lol... I hear ya on the parking lot too many late nights waiting in sketchy parking lots for what truns out to be crapy herb haha... aww the old days of lookin for it :)

I use mine for falling asleep. I used melatonin for a while and needed to switch up before my body decides to become dependant on not producing it.
You must be an Indica lover then... I use it for sleep sometimes too best dam thing for when you can't sleep thats for sure!

I'm in for all of the above!
I don't go berserk on it, but it is no different than reaching for a cup coffee to me. Especially my current daytime favorite, it enhances and yet allows full interaction with others. Now I just need to look into what strains are key ones that I need to seek out and then try a pollen chuck to make some more seeds! :hookah:

Chronic pain...I feared going down the ever increasing dosages of the opioid path. Spent roughly 8k a year for a few years, then when i saw that finances were heading into rougher times (right now), I decided to grow my own as I cant afford it much longer, I'm still on my 1st grow.

Good luck Rexer, your current grow is looking really good, and looks a far more attractive path than the opioid alternative!

Thank you, I have some worries with it for humidity.

And the compliment means a lot, appreciate it.

I have no experience with indoor growing, but humidity can be a bastard if it lets PM or bud rot get started. Some time back I remember seeing products that people could put in their closet to absorb excess humidity, some sort of small buckets of something that were left open and would absorb moisture for a period of time until they needed replacing. I wonder if such a thing could be left in a grow tent to quietly absorb extra humidity while the plants grow. But anyway, your crop is looking good and you just got to keep it that way for a little longer to make harvest, hopefully all continues well.

I have found running a dehumidifier in the room where the tent is seems to keep the room and tent in a good humidity range plus if possible venting to outside... or in your case maybe the attic or sewer drain. :)

Rexer.... I am so glad to hear you venturing down the path of Marijuana and not opioids, Its been 3 years since I burried my best friend and fellow pot mentor to Fenty patchs , I still wish I could have kept him on the herb road he was an amazing person, the type to give you the shirt off his back.. Sadly he gets hit by a bus and ends up in a world of pain and falls down the path of opioids. Thats why my motto is "Stay herby never go chemey!" :)

Thank you both! You know the sad part? I've actually bought those things to toss in my trailer for the wintering  never even thought of it! you can get these huge ones that are a folded pad...might be a great idea, thank you.

Herby I actually have a portable Ac in the lung and a mini dehumidifier running in the cabinet. It's a very tight space and I never dreamed all 4 would make it this far...but I'll know for next run!

"I'm sorry for your loss", just never seems to convey the sorrow of hearing something like this. I'm fortunate to have a supportive dr...shes saved my life.

Too often when browsing a forum its easy to forget how complicated the story of some people's lives are, we all come here for the same reason, and many stay (I'd say ) due to the community here.
