Growing Hemp will soon be a reality for nearly two dozen farmers in South Carolina.
Governor Henry McMaster signed the industrial hemp cultivation bill in early 2017 and since then, state lawmakers have been meeting with farmers to discuss how they can get involved with growing it.
They say growing and processing hemp will become a multi-billion dollar industry for South Carolina, which would be a very profitable and productive industry.
