Hello,
The other day, I turned on my Growbright 600 light after it had been sitting for several months. I had to unplug it and plug it back in. However, I do not think I gave it enought time to rest inbetween shutting it off and restarting it. It ended up overheating and burning a couple of wires. Thank God no fire!
However, after repairing the wires, it starts up ok but after about 10 minutes, it looses brightness and the bulb has to restart. There is no excessive heat from the ballast, in fact, it seams to be cooler then usual. I tried switching the bulb and still does the same thing.
Does this sound like a bad ballast? Is there a way to test it with my ohm/volt/watt meter? What kind of readings should I get? Any help would be much appriciated.
Thank you!!!!
