Grow, Squish, Dab!

Love squishing and dabbing my own freshly pressed Rosen. This year I thought I would add growing to the equation. I'm legally allowed to grow so I figured why not give it a run.

Built an insulated room inside my garage. The room is 6wx8lx8h. Have 1 gavita 750 on one side and 2 advanced platinum p600s on the other. It's still winter here in Vancouver Canada so I'm hoping the gavita will give me enough heat while the light is on to not need a heater but I have a heater, ac and dehum on inkbrd controllers and a 8 inch hyperfan with filter also. I'll see how the p600 go but if they are all good I'll grab another couple p600 or something else for the summer to run a little cooler then the gavita.

Starting off with 18 white widows from Crop King Seeds I picked up from their headquarters. They are going into their 3rd week under a hydrofarm single t5 and seem to be going pretty good so far.started in a papertowl on my water heater.. Also will be grabbing 6 comatose clones. Both these strains have been great for pressing flower Rosen. Get between 25-30% yield on the comatose, which is pretty incredible, and 18-25% back on the WW.

This is my first grow so just trying to keep things simple. Using soil now and hoping to keep things as organic as possible.

Hoping to be done setting up the room this weekend and will throw them under real lights to veg for a bit.

Anyway this is the beginning of my journal hoping to finish with a nice huuuge squish!

Only doing 18 WW and 6 comatose clones. Won't be doing all 90 at one time. I'll save the sour diesel and purple for the next rounds. First grow though any tips and pointers along the way will be much apprishiated!

24 is alot regardless lol. Will be interesting to see. And guessing harvest for you will be better than Christmas for ya lol

Got my comatose clones the other day. Time for a topping?
Does it look too late to start mainlinin?this stretches quite a bit I hear.

Hoping it's Christmas at harvest but could just get a lump of coal who knows lol.

Was going to set this up sea of green style.

Just wanted to post an update. WW and the comatose seem to still be growing good under the single t5. Looks like they could use some ferts. Some yellow spots on leaves. Was waiting to repot and finish my room before I did that. Looks like I'll finally be done tomorrow!
Origianally wanted to just do a 4x4 tent and a cheap LED but then I went down the rabbit hole and ended up building an insulated r8x6 room. Went with 2 Platinum P600 LEDs and a 630w LEC just to test out. I'll swap out the loser with a gavita and Do another comparison next crop.
Installed a Neptune apex controller pretty slick. Everything is controlled and timed wirelessly on 2 power bars.lets u set up neat rules like if AC on then Dehumidifier off or if lights on then heater can't come on. And can control everything with my phone. Comes with its own temp prob and ph monitor so can set up auto dosing and pumps for mixing and irrigating. Pretty neat machine all controlled by my phone or web based app.
Will set up the auto irrigation and dosing this weekend I hope. Also got a little neat camera in there to see how everything's going. I'm a helicopter gardener I guess.
Here is some pics!

haha awesome. So awesome! This is going to be so good! That little room is going to be packed to its gills! The only suggestion i would make is put the CMH between the LEDs so the whole canopy gets a little bit of UVA at least, not all concentrated on one side.

U know I really thought hard about doing that but each of those leds only has a 2x5 footprint. I really wanted to compare the lighting this run and see which light was better and try a gavita next round to compare that and then go with the best one for quality and yield. I thought if I split then would be easier to compare.

Also since the leds need to be closer to canopy then the LEC I thought the led would shade the LEC lighting and heat the leds

I fully get it man. I got a CMH in my 4x4 and was thinking of getting a smaller LED to compliment it but i really just want to see what the CMH can do without other influences.

You could angle your LEDs slightly, but yea, your previous post states your reasons man, but i have seen the done before. The main large light source in the middle and smaller lights angle to act as flood lamps across the canopy.

Ya I'll def try that if I get something nice in that transition between my led and lec lights this run. Would look nicer too! Thanks

Finally got around to repotting and getting the girls in the room. Had some problems with spider mites and fungus nats thanks to the clones I got, so didn't want to put them in the room until that was sorted. Hopefully it is now.
Was shorted a pot though so the one lonely comatose needs to sit in her cup until tomorrow. I'll also start plumbing the irrigation.

Just wanted to post an update. Pretty big learning curve here with my first grow. Started off with spider mites from my clones and thripes. Then burned my leaves pretty bad from not reading the i structions on the Doctor doom and savers stuff. Nutrient burn, nutrient deficiency, ph fluctuations, light burn. I think I covered them all. But they seem to have rebounded now and they have been growing good for a couple weeks now. Plan is to put them into flower end of next week. Topping And super cropping a lot to keep canopy even.
Here is how the room looks now:

The plants under the 630w ceramic grow taller than the 2xadvanced platinum p600. But the plants under led are more dense.
