Heres a picture of a male that I culled out of my current grow at about day 70 or so from seed.

Your not in the danger zone yet. Wait a few days, if it resembles this then shoot it.

Any idea on getting rid of fungus gnats and scales/barnacles?

Lights off right now I will get one tonight but really it's mainly the lower third of leaves. Basically faded color with black spots, I'm thinking the lack of light down there or the damn bugs. I've been seeing "barnacles" and what I think are fungus gnats but they hardly fly, little black speck bugs that just hang out on the leaves hardly crawl or fly ever that I've seen but there are so many and I've applied diatomecaeous earth to dirt and leaves but they won't leave

I have fungas knats right now and I'm using yellow sticky traps on top of soil and I let the soil dry completely out before watering, so far so good, if they come back I'll add a couple inches of sand over soil

Thripes for sure. You can use Monterey garden insect spray with spinosad which is an organic ingredient and can be sprayed as well as added to water, once you have bugs its a pain to eliminate, if all else failsnyou can use pyrethrins. I'm sure there's some others reading that can add to this

Not to sure how well the captain jacks is working but I feel I'm seeing less bugs. And the ones I do see aren't moving maybe that's good? Then again they would always just sit there in my leaves literally just hanging out
