Grow #2: Outdoor/CFL Auto 420 Blueberry & AK-47 Smart Pots With Dr Earth Soil

How wass the trip shed? How the plants?

Trip was good, driving notwithstanding! It was parents' weekend at my daughter's college (which we had originally planned on skipping) and she was feeling lonely bc everyone had relatives in except her. So I went up to visit and we had a nice time...homecoming football game (W!) and dinner on Saturday and the art museum on Sunday. Along with the paintings, drawings, and sculpture, there was a cool ceramics exhibit. I was explaining the technique used to create one of the pieces and a crowd gathered around so I did a quick tutorial on the fine art of shellac resist painting! All in all a worthwhile trip.

As you may recall from our last meeting, I was leaving the plants in the shed under the lights (20/4) for the weekend. That turned out perfect bc it was cloudy both days, and today as well.

SPOG looks about the same but trichome pics later this week. Saturday before I left I gave it Cal/mag: 3ml/gal, Open Sesame: ½ tsp/gal, Tiger Bloom: 1 tsp/gal.

The young ones were very thirsty (as you can tell from the wilty leaves particularly on Blue 4) even though they got fed Saturday morning with Cal/mag: 3ml/gal, GrowBig: 1½ tsp/gal, and Big Bloom: 3 tbs/gal. So I fed them 32 ounces each again, this time with:
Cal/mag, 3ml/gal
GrowBig, 2 tsp/gal
Big Bloom, 4 tbs/gal

I bumped up the GrowBig to 2 tsp/gal and the Big Bloom to 4 tbs/gal. This is where I think I will live until flower, though the amount of water will probably go up next time. After the feeding and the fotos, the went back under the lights to get the higher lux. I'm hoping that when the sun finally returns they don't suffer burns.

Blue 4 on day 31. Looks like, in my absence, it decided to go clockwise. Don't fight the feeling!

AK 7 day 29 in need of a slight additional bend. I swear that wire is just pushing down, not pulling out!:

No pics today bc they didn't make it out of the shed this morning. Workers in the backyard so the shed is in lock-down mode. All for the best because it is grey and drizzling in Los Angeles today, and the plants are growing toward the T8s in a way they never seemed to under the CFLs. I crawled under the fixture to adjust the LST on Blue 4 because it was heading up for the tubes!

I'll try to get some pics tomorrow morning but the guys will be here for the next few days. Depends on when they show up I guess.

Happy Halloween all!

It’s raining down there? We usually get our first seasonal rain here on Halloween, just to mess with the kids. That’s a couple conveniences for your portable in & out grow.

It was drizzling this morning and now it's just completely overcast. Halloween weather varies wildly with some years warm, some cold, and one year a while back it started pissing around 8pm and the streets emptied in a heartbeat!

Funny that when I started the In-n-Out® thing it was for June gloom. Now it's multi-purpose!

Overcast? Shed!
Rain? Shed!
Cold? Shed!
Workers? Shed!
:)

Haha! What's so great about that story, (besides the fact that it warms my heart) is that, although I've never met you,.......I could see you doing that!! Lol. Sounds like a great weekend. My daughter is in an arts school too! But only half way to college, so I've still got a bit of time with my mini me:thumb: I was watching "how it's made" on the science channel the other night, and saw how a manufacturer made encaustic paint! Soooo Cool, I showed her the next day, and now when I have some extra $$$ I might have to buy the supplies! Too bad for Luna & dos, as they were hoping for bloom nutes. I'm out of advanced nutrients bloom! Lol

I do pottery (well I used to until my spare time got devoted to this growing thing) so I have some experience with it. My daughter was a bit embarrassed when I attracted a crowd! Bloom nutes first, then encaustic paint ;)

Thanks, they do seem pretty happy at the moment. And definitely better than the dull grey skies lately! I'm hoping the sun comes out though. If not I'll have to come up with some way of adding the CFLs on the side.

My daughter is a big musical fan (movies and Broadway) and has every line of Hamilton memorized. She sang it word for word on an earlier drive up to campus! No kids in my hood were Hamilton characters but that would have been a great story to tell her :)
