GrizzWalds - Aussie Indoor/Outdoor - Choose Your Own Adventure

:thumb:Keep on that Ph, Grizz!! Plants are looking great!:thumb:

:Namaste:

When I was a kid in the Yukon my family had a gig care-taking a mining camp in the winter season (they would shut down winters cause operating costs would get too high). There was another mine about 15 miles away by snowmobile and we'd go say hi to that care-taker once in a while. He used to take my little brother and I up the mountain where he'd feed the wolverines. They'd gotten used to him serving up frozen steaks and freezer burned veal and all sorts of goodies from the freezers. Anyway- we'd hang around and fling all this expensive meat down into a little gully and only once did two come along for feeding time when we were there, the other times were a bust and we just hung around and froze. They're funny animals, built very low to the ground and kind of scuttle along. Very strong looking. The growls that came out of those critters when they were scrapping over the meat were incredible. Despite living almost all my life around the northern half of that red zone, this was the only time I saw them close up and alive, as they're very elusive. I found a dead one in the forest by our house once and kept the skull. My ex girlfriend has it, the jaws hinge open almost 180 degrees. I've still got the claws, somewhere on a shelf here, but they don't amount to much.
They have a real reputation in the North for being almost supernaturally tough and wily. Besides doing things like bringing down caribou and the occasional moose, they are legendary for wandering down trap lines and springing the traps and stealing the bait. They also like to piss on everything if they get the chance, which is a really a foul surprise to come back to if a wolverine breaks into your cabin while you're away. They'll claim ownership of the place and render it pretty much uninhabitable in short order. Uninhabitable except for a wolverine, that is.
I like them a lot as they represent something that can't be tamed.
Anyway, they are real.

Edit. Oh yes what we were supposed to be talking about... Plants - very nice! :thumb:

Thanks for that Weasle....there was a couple shows I watched, mountain men & Yukon men, the odd wolverine would pop up from time to time...Last year poor Canna dealt with every critter known, trying to grow outdoors. But she had woodchucks, which I never knew were even an animal, thought they were a tongue twister, lol. Honestly...

Thanks for the words of encouragement all... I feel like the special kid, "keep trying bud, they'll get there. It's what you learn not what you end with", lol... I'm taking the piss, lol..I really do appreciate the comments and you all being here... No stress with p/h, I shouldn't have been so flippant? Is that the right word/ context? I should have said in range, somewhere between 5.7-6.2, lol... When I mix my nutrients they usually always in range, usually flicking 5.8-5.9 except flowering, where I need to add couple drop p/h up, 5.5-5.6.....
Stage, man I want your plant to beat the rest, you feeling it? That'd have to be the objective now. Maybe I'm just to competitive, lol...
Blaze... Thanks man.. Hope I can get a bud off of them.. Yeah man, "let's flip together, come on come on, let's flip together...you know we grew these plants and their gonna makes us feel real cleaver"... Brian ferry anybody? Oh that's bad even for me.... When you planning to?
Hey mcdive.. How's things man? Just read your sig, WoW.. Cannaoil?
Camo, thanks man... Looking forward to what your got to show.. Must be close to update time, lol...

I agree.... LET'S DO IT! Sorry, I don't have a song to reference. LOL!!!

I plan to flip in 19 days.

Well 19 days it is... That will be perfect timing for the black dream. Criticals are freebies, what ever I get off them is a bonus.. I'm only growing these cause I started this journal, lol. outside girl along with next indoor grow (tut & auto or two) should have me well supplied....:thumb:

My favourite film is, Freddy got fingered.. If it doesn't come from the gutter it usually goes over my head, lol....

Then we are on the same page. I think it's an SA, Aussie thing. I've met a few of your countrymen, and apart from the accent and kak rugby :), we are very similar.

Blaze, what's kak rugby? One word, Japan :rofl::rofl: like soccer though, I'm only interested in the World Cup. Australian rules football, that's what's followed around here, Sydney swans (South Melbourne) to be specific...

Little update outside... Flowering begins :)

I can't pull that branch down level with rest, it'd be sitting on top of another, brining me down, oh well...

LOL!! Yeah yeah... SA rugby is not at it's best at the moment.

The outdoor plant looks fantastic bud. As green and lush as anything indoor, just much bigger.

You need to post pics of your indoor babies. 17 more days to go!

Indoor gals...I potted the black dream into 15lt pot today... im going to repot the 3 critical into 10lt pots tomorrow..I could probably get away leaving them in the 3lt pots but might be able to pull an extra gram in the bigger ones, lol.... I'll get a photo tomorrow. Not much change, topped the little one and small pot. Bent and snapped small pot stem, show the side branches to light.. I'll leave the "bigger" one, lol. I never do, so will be good to see a naturally structured plant again...

Awesome bud. I also just topped 3 of the 6 girls. Want to see the difference. Although I topped the 3 biggest girls. So they would probably have yielded more anyway. Damn, didn't think of that. LOL!

Would you consider yourself lucky or unlucky to see the end of the world?

Myself, I'd consider it very lucky. If it's inevitable....I'd get a deck chair bong and take it all in, lol....

I'm not sure if I'd want to be Ground Zero, or up in the hills and try to survive. It's a coin toss at the moment, really. If it's like a planet killer comet, or some such, I'm headin' to your place, and we'll have a nice smoke as the heavens open up, and we'll burn one as we burn, ya?

We be blazing, in every sense...

I'm not the survivor type. I've seen what the supermarkets get like when there's a milk strike or bread strike, stuff that... Total population wipe out, with one in every 100 thousand surviving, then I'd want to be one of the living, if all supermarket shelves are stacked and resources still accessible. But man that , running man, mad max type reality scares the hell outta me...

Im a cockroach. I can survive anything. I would make sure I'm the last guy on earth. Then all your women are belong to me!!
