GrizzWalds - Aussie Indoor/Outdoor - Choose Your Own Adventure

There are babes in the woods.....
13-14 and on summer holidays. Two mates ,myself and friends younger brother go to another mates house, Ross...Parents were at work, friend brings out his dad's porn film. The film finishes with a "made for movie" song, There are babes in the woods.. Later that night, our family's are all having a bbq together. As we were running around, playing basketball, mates younger brother, sitting at the parents table, being slightly ignored, starts singing out aloud, there are babes in the woods (which is the only lyric, repeated 1000 times).... Ross old man, without saying a word just whacked Ross over the back of the head, we shat ourselves, lol.. I hear 70's porn and it's what comes to mind.. Plus my first porn film I saw.. Wasn't a good intro, I still don't know how they didn't end up dreadlocked together...

I mix a gallon at a time grizzy, right now it goes like this. 1.25ml of armor si, 1.5ml calmag, 3 ml of floranova bloom. Then I give recharge every 2 days for bennies, sometimes every 3.

But now that they are getting older, I will up the armor si 1.5ml, calmag 1.5, floranova bloom 3-5ml

Do you have a hanna ppm or ec reading? Sorry for questions camo, what's recommended full strength ratio and ppm/ec? Thanks mate...

I went shopping a couple days ago... I brought a cheap water pump, $50 370gph or 1400lph. 100lt 25gal res, black 13mm or 1/2" cheap poly pipe, connectors.... Forgot silicone, I'm guessing pet supply fish tank silicone.. I'm going to start with 4x 20 lt/5gal buckets with drain pipes attached feeding back into the res..2-3 gal pots will be sitting on top of the buckets getting watered. Be around 2gal room between bottom of pot to bottom of bucket. im going to need to raise the buckets in grow room higher than res, so it gravity feeds back.. Plan sound right, ideas/suggestions? Lol.... I was in Kmart, forgot they had a gardening section, but on the shelves were coir/peat bricks. A brick makes 9lt.. $1 each, so I got the 10 off the shelf to try.. 90lt for $10. That's a $80 saving from what I'm using now, loll... Nothing could be that good.. Worth the gamble though, only e out $10, few beans and time... Whilst I'm typing this I realised the critical amnesia are freebies, two of them will get the coir/peat bricks for flowering and I'll put the black dream and other crit/amn into the canna coir, no point losing the whole lot if they are salty prices of driftwood... Anybody used this stuff? I think I'm using my prebuffered coir and preparing it like it is brick coir anyway. I just do it for the just in case, but I do wonder if I'm wasting my time and the work canna put in, lol... I have topped and transplanted before without washing, never noticed a difference but it is a habit or like I've tried to prepare best I could, lol...

Will still need a drain pump that pumps water out of the pots and into the res. Gravity feed only works so far, and for so long... Check out Xlr8's Psychedelic Bloom Party Extravaganza where he uses his Titan Controls Flo N Gro for an idea of how to build yours. He and some others experimented with gravity feed both fill and drain a few years ago, and ended up flooding their floors a couple of times...

Hey grizz mate , those coco bricks from Kmart that are about a dollar come with some kind of bug in there that eats out the inside of seedlings stems and kills them, I bought some it happened my mate bought some it happens again, you have gotta sterilize it mate.

Gogo juice, bunnings 15 dollar version of canna boost, what can I say this bottle of fermented diarrhea is fucken awesome isn't it, how and when do you use it, I love the stuff, have you downloaded the fact sheet, Gogo juice has tricantonol, auxins it is the best .

Seriously not being a drama queen about the coco bricks, sterilize them cause they are fucked mate.

Love that outdoor girl mate and fuck this recent whether on our penal colony.

The vertical logger, ha ha, how are you doctor?.....This bloody weather, man.... I feel like cooking up some mince and making a salsa, I could use my plant leaves as shells. Soft, well slightly crunchy fan leaf tacos anybody? Hope she gets over it in the next fours months, lol..
Thanks doctor, about bricks..I kinda knew something was up, you remind me I looked into it when first starting, had to be some reason a tight ass like myself would pay an extra $5 a litre for it, lol. .. Go go juice, I use more of during veg, then monthly during flower... Also use earthworm concentrate (worm works, mitre10 but wasn't there last time I went :( really good stuff) seasol seaweed concentrate, helps heaps Jan Feb early March. I wish Charlie carp was the same product I used to get, that was the bomb, all you needed. Stopped using that around 8 years ago. I still look at it and wonder, should I, lol.... One thing I use, that's shitted me for years, is liquid pot ash, it was all I knew. I'm going to try cow patty teas this year.. Damn, I've got those shit bug brick resting on top of my canna bags, better not be no contamination... Plus reps to you my friend. You just saved a couple of girls...:high-five:.....:passitleft:......

They're just too good to be true those coco bricks, I was going to base a very large grow on those cause I am a tight Ass aswell hahaha and I thought fuck yeah cheap coco, then it smashed all my seedlings so I was telling my mate who is a good deal younger than me and he thought it was my seeds I told him nah mate there's a bug in that coco that eats its way up the seedlings stems from the inside so he went and tested it out and had the same happen to him.
Thanks for the tip on the mitre 10 worm gear I'll get it for sure, seasol is like my rhizotonic great stuff hey, gotta love the cheap little adds that you can get at bunnings, Aussie growers secret weapons I reckon haha

Dang thanks for the tips on the coco bricks doctor green and grizzy. What do you guys think of cocotek? Mage by GH? That's what I was thinking of getting next.

Also grizzy I do have a blue labs meter, very nice it measures ph,ppm in 500or700, ec, and temperature. I love it, it was expensive but we'll worth it. The ec for the mixture I posted earlier is usually between 1.0-1.1. If it's ever to much I just dilute with some more water

What are your thoughts stage? Lol.... What coir do you use?....... How long to go for poty?.... You had a bubblegum blast yet? Nice?

Thanks camo for feeding chart info..... That feeding schedule would cut my nutrient bill by close to 80%, lol. and here I was thinking what I used didn't cost much, with the amount I use....
What to do with the recirculating system??? I need to go back to work. Getting to stoned and coming up with different plans every four hours. I can't decide over a single or 3 bucket design. I'll just wait to see what I can do with an auto before going any further.. If I can get a worthwhile smoke off an auto, then I'll go a single design for a larger photo, if not, I'll build a 3 or 4 bucket system... Well that's what I've woken with today..

How to sterilise those coir/peat bricks...boil for five minutes? Any easier way before I throw these out?

Just chuck it bud. Not worth the effort or the risk if you ask me.

I've never sterilized my coco when I mix my medium. Don't even bother to flush it. I guess I've been lucky with the stuff I get from the hydro shop.

Heck kids can be a bit worrying when growing I am wary now around our grandson
I could just see him doing a talk at school an mentioning some thing
I was referring to the post about the song ,, kids hear an see more than we think??
Me anyways

Hey grizzy don't stress to much mate. I do the samething, I went with coco first cause of you and the simplicity I see everyone having with it. I want to go hydro one day, rdwc. But I just don't have the time or actual money as of now to do it. I went the route of lucas because ledrf and some other have had great success with it and it's cheap on the wallet. Let me know what you plan to do my dude ;)

High Grizzy,
In my experience with coco, my 1st attempt was with an expensive organic blend that was pre amended with a bunch of wonderful stuff. PM me for the link.

Did very well with it but shipping was so expensive..so I went with my local hydroshop and used the Canna bagged coco.

The results were similar to the expensive coco blend I used 1st run.
In my last coco run, I used the block coco from Botanicare.
I grew the bubblegum with that, so no complaints from me.

Don't skimp on your medium. I don't re-use coco nor do I take chances with that stuff at wa mart or the depot.

The PoTY contest completes on 1/31. I have a pretty decent percentage of votes there and I hope to hang on ftw. Don't know what the PoTY prizes are this year but if they are as good as last years, my future should be pretty bright. ;)

So far the bubblegum is curing nicely. I figure about another few weeks and it should be ready to share. A good 2 month cure is mandatory for me before sharing.
