Greetings from the Great White North

Just wanted to send out a general "hello" to everyone before I get involved with threads in other forums. There's so much good info on this site and the members seem really friendly and helpful. I spent a good bit of time reading and browsing this and other forums before I decided to make this my 'home.'

I've been a longtime smoker both recreationally and medically. Lately I've run into more and more medial users who are buying just nasty rubbish off the streets -- my own mother among them. Not only do I feel bad that they're getting really sub-par greens, it drives me absolutely nutty to think how many people have to go to the street to get access to medicine.

So, I'll be starting my first grow in a couple of weeks. Right now I'm putting together my shopping list and making my plans and preparations. I was thinking I would create a journal thread to keep track of things and get help as I go along ... mental note: review forum guidelines to make sure starting a journal that doesn't begin at germination is ok. There are plenty of threads with people asking about setups, so I can't imagine it wouldn't be allowed.

So .. yeah ... hello, and thanks in advance for your attention and your feedback!
