My home made grow cabinet has intake fans near the bottom and a larger exhaust fan near the top. The flowering afghani's are quite smelly right now so I came up with this inexpensive remedy.
Many cars now have a cabin air filter for the heat & AC system. Many of these are available as charcoal filters. I use a charcoal cabin air filter, (Carquest part number 90183C) at the exhaust and also added a regular cabin filter for the intake. The odor had minimized pretty well. Very easy to adapt to any system. I simply used the box it came in, cut out both sides for air flow and attached it to the side where the output fan is. The way I did it, I can slide the filter out of the box to replace as needed.
