Grand Daddy Purple

I havnt smoked any grand daddy purple or what some people on the east coast call "purp" and I am wondering if anybody has seen any out there anywhere its a very good smoke

We have plenty of GDP in NorCal too. The Purp is a different variety here on the west coast

In ed rosenthal's book he says the strain is granddaddy grape ape by apothecary seeds,

aka grape ape, perple erkel, and granddaddy purple

I'd have to agree with you on that,
I have actually had gdp from west cal. and conn. two completely different strains. Gdp has to be one of my favorite smokes very strong dank smell to it,
I actually had a ounce in my pocket one time and you could smell it threw my whole house and didn't even smoke it yet.
