i hope so, think mine will take longer. im only using 60watts of power running 3x101 watt equiv cfls, ive cured my stretching problem now ive learned about light distance and penetration.

when i can afford it im going to get a new lamp, a 430W sun argo HPS not sure of the price yet, but im hoping to get about 4 grows out of a bulb.

its all about cash for me atm, my personal preference is growing faster than i can pay to keep up. want to switch to growing in a coco/perlite substrate and im hoping to pre mix and ph a liquid i can sorta spay water daily and flush the substrate once a week.
still got years of learning to do, but i believe a diy airoponic system will be my end game.

thinking of having a veg duration of 60-90 days on these 2 if they survive that long, lol.
when they are twice their current size after LST then ill play around with FIM and Topping. doubt ill get into scrog tho.

Im sure that you will do fine. I veged her start from seed2/1 to4/1 and her brother;rip, under 2sets of flourecent shop lights,4 footers. I dont know how many centemeters that is but they are 6500k bulbs. I know your setup isnt that wide but the bulbs 4 of them are 32 watts each.my flower light is 400 hps my wife got it for me for xmas.she or I paid around120$ loltake it one step at a time and you will get there:goodluck:

Ok folks moved my plants to their new home, still needs a lot of work, but at least i dont have to turn the lights off and cover it all up every time the door knocks.

am off out now to goto hydro (local and only weed shop in my area)

@Gigabane: Remember those wound-up CFLs project most of their energy horizontally if you hang them vertically. There's a number of ways you can use that to your advantage, just don't point their tip at your plants, point their sides at them. Think of the great brattleships of the seventeenth+ century, where fixed cannons mounted on multiple decks on each side had a limited angle of firing and the efficient use of broadsides could decide battles. Cannabis growing is just like that!

I'm all wound up now. Gonna smoke and go to bed. ;)

Aww man, my cure for that is a spoiler into my lst project.
i had already thought about it and have a plan, but if i tell you i will be spoiling the suprise for a few weeks down the line ;)



went to hydro tonday. OMG at the prices.
a hood that can take 2x 150w cfls and the bulbs was £200!
everything was over priced, or over my buget anyway, lol
i just grabbed a bottle of PH down and left, lol.

Edit: girls are asleep right now, they wake up in a couple of hours. i might be awake long enough to snap them.

hey G, check out the diy forum.theres a thread called cfl 12 pack grow light how to. its pretty good info .I think that it will give you some ideas.:peacetwo:

heya guys, just got a phone call for work out of town so im gone till friday night (my time), plants are looking ok, the one i LST'd is growing slower at this point from the top (new node leaves are about 2cm less diameter than my untouched plant)

just fed them my current nutes, half a litre each of 1/4 strength and the missus will take care of my lights while im away.

so ill be looking forward to the results on friday as much as you guys are, lol..

thanks fishcake, ill get round to looking, but not yet as i dont like to use ideas not my own in general.

it isnt ideas im short of ,but funds and supplies. cant seem to find a damn 6500k lightbulb in any of my local stores.

ill tell you what tho, although i may not end up with the lushest buds at the end of this, i rekon im a real contender for cheapest indoor grow, lol =D

Day 35 (14-05-11)

My world has fallen apart recently, no biggie ill get it fixed. split with missus, nothing new we will fix it, but it does mean my stuff is spread accross several locations.
im with my plants today, but forgot my smartcard for the camera.

The LST plant is looking health, the stem has grown thicker, but growth has slown too much for my liking compared to the other plant, the only visible benefit so far is less stretch between nodes, but its like half the size of th other plant, so i have removed my bindings and almost overnight it has righted its direction except for a little bend where it was a right angle.

the non LST plant has doubled in size and is making me proud =)
my light timings have been quite messy recently due to break up and what not, when are they at risk of hermie, all their life or just flower stage?

will be putting them on 12/12 light next time i turn them off, time to make some herbs, no matter the size ;)

will post pics as soon as possible!

fyi, i will write to that effect if i abandon this journal for some reson, untill such time just assume any delay is because of hectic life =/
