LST PLANT

- Watered 1 L well water with 2 tbsp. Molasses and 2 tbsp. of Cal-Mag +

This was an emergency water as the topped plant was showing signs of deficiency and still a few days away from top dress which would make it about a week before nutrients available to plant.

Had to post this I was going over pics from the day and this image gives me a chill down my spine every time I see it and even when I think about it.

These are unedited not even cropped exactly how they came off camera. The are two pics taken right after another, the only difference is I changed to a manual focus only.

ENTRY 38.1 Sept 24 2019

- Watered both plants with 3.0 L ph'd well water with Cal-Mag+ added

LST PLANT :

- started showing signs of deficiency in a couple leaves
- removed 2 lower leaves and one dried leaf
- buds and trics looking good

IMG_9564_2.jpgIMG_9565.JPGIMG_9566_2.jpg

TOPPED PLANT :

- removed a pile of used up leaves, mostly dried and crunchy as she is in late stage deficiency but on the mend

IMG_9568_2.jpgIMG_9569_2.jpgIMG_9570.JPG

THOUGHTS AND COMPARSIONS :

- both plants would be experiencing the same deficiencies if they were both under the same light. Because the LST plant was outside tent for all of her veg state she did not experience the deficiency the topped plant did; however now that the LST plant is in the tent she almost immediately ( within 4 days ) started showing signs on a few leaves.

- the two are very close in bud size now that the LST has had a chance to catch up. The stem of the LST plant is larger than the other ( not quite double ) hard to see in pics.

- as far as my calculations go they have roughly 1 month left ( just under ).

I have been noticing lately lots of posts on autos. People say we shouldn't top them. Does anyone know the back story to this and why people think this way. Is this a strain specific problem?

I think what they are or should be saying is you can't or shouldn't main line or HST train them but I found a couple toppings ok.

I was just looking for some opinions on this.

I believe it's strain specific, if it's a naturally short plant then topping may stunt that auto because the recovery time is limited, an auto only has so much growth weeks, I wouldn't want to jeopardize that height, if it's a naturally tall strain then odds are better that it wouldn't stunt it.

Ya thought was strain specific. Thanks for thoughts @Canuckush . NL has no problem as very fast resilient strain. These seeds had no issue topping, she never skipped a beat.

Either way you have a lot of bud sites on those plants, more so on the lst plant it seems. Looking good!

:meatballs:

Happy growing!

IMG_9704.JPG and the AFTER pic

- Thank you so much SmokeSara for all the great info you posted on your lights and for the great contests you put on here at :420:. These two reasons were what got me to purchase your lights.

This light is fantastic blows my two 160W blurples out of the water. No contest. Even across the room this light out shines the blurple. I wouldn't be surprised if the girls in the small tent move over to the new light as soon as I leave the room.

IMG_9706.JPG - you can see in pic on left the green leaves and here I always thought cannabis leaves were a blue purple color amazing what a light can do. LOL

Final note before I go stare and my plants.

SmokeSara please tell the guys in packaging thank you for the two plant pot risers. Will come in handy.

Thanks to MarsHydro for building a great light.

Hi GHempster, try one of the Mars glasses, it will help ease your eye pain, and seeing more clear under blurple lights., :D
