Gear for the new grow.

Hey all, going to the store now to get a few things. Just wanted some input into my list.

My plants are in small cups now, they are just about a week old.
I'm going to transplant them today hopefully. Here's what I was thinking so far for today's supplies.

-6" square pots, they should be big enough for the veg state I imagine. I'm not going for bigger because in the near future I will be expanding the size of my box to allow bigger pots.

-Very well refined topsoil for the transplant.

-Ph tester.

Anything else you guys can think of that is a necessity today?

Not today, but in the near future, maybe a tds tester.. Used to test the total dissolved solids in your nutrient solution, (if you plan on usin' nutrients), basically letting you know when your solution is too toxic with too much of the nutes, salts, etc, in ratio to the water.

I only mention this because I did my first grow without one. Its possible, ofcourse, but without it, you'll be cautious with applying nutes and will be basically going off instinct, which ultimately, may prevent you from maximizing your grow potential.

It did teach me to listen to my plants though.

:allgood:

Good info, thanks alot man.

all good. forgot to add though, since you're getting a pH tester, you might wanna check for one that doubles as a tds tester.

Yah, definately get a TDS tester if you can afford it. Sunleaves brand has one for $39 at most Hydro Stores. There's nothing like KNOWING your doing it right!
