GDB Does Tangerine Dream Fems

Hello growers.

It's been 5 days since I flipped the TDs. I haven't seen any noticeable change yet, maybe a little upward stretch, but very little -- if any. The breeder says these babies flower in 60-65 days. That's going to be tough on me, especially since I'm looking for progress after only 5 days post-flip. I may need to start another hobby to divert my attention. Maybe I'll do some much needed yard work. :Rasta:

Anyway, growing these photos is turning out to be fun. Just requires a change to my autoflower mindset. Patience!

I'm so giddy about photos I'm already thinking about what I'll grow next! I know a Ghost Train Haze will be in the mix but I've yet to decide on the other three.

Here's a few pics. I've already decided that the short one will not catch up to the taller one, so shorty has been elevated.

The 2 branches I took from the TD for clones are in clear solo cups. Only one has roots visible as of yet. Both are looking saggy.

I took these branches when the plant was around 50 days old. That means these are not new plants, right? Can I feed them a little Mega Crop at this point?

Later.

With my clones, I’ve been feeding them 2g per gallon, once they start rooting well. Slow increase from there. You just want to be cautious not to burn the fresh roots.
I’m feeding my clone mom 2g per gallon at around 400 ppm. She’s loving it.
Thanks HH & Penny. I'll let roots get better established and then start at 2g.

Another question, since these are "old" plants, once I get the potted and they grow to a nice size I know I can flip them. But can I flip them even if they're still very small since they are "old"?

I ask because I'll likely grow one of them with my next set of photos and flip time will depend on them regardless of the size of the clone.

They’ll flower quickly they just may not yield big.
Good to know. Thanks, Pennywise. Believe it or not, I've done my homework on cloning. Lots of reading and retention. Now that I'm trying it for the first time I'm having a hard time pulling all that info back into "do this do that" land. :Rasta:

Took a cutting and put it in a cup with water and put it by the window, about 10 days later. Have too many clones already so just experimenting.
Cloning green crack strain has been easy, pretty good success rate with just a t5 light in a 5$ clone dome. Keep it in a spare room or living room. Somewhere decently warm and i think its pretty easy from there.

Hello growers.

Got some great news today!

I've finally convinced one of my old pot-head buddies to get into growing. I'm not alone anymore!

My friend has a fairly stealthy backyard and wants to do an outdoor grow. I can't wait to help him out, and I get to see a plant grow outside as a bonus. Priceless!

He's waiting on these TD clones. I'm glad to have someone to give them to because, right now, I just want to see if I can get them to survive, I have no interest in growing them. Even with two tents my space remains limited, and I have 4 new strains on hand that I want to try in my photo tent next (without the clones in the way).

I've been so looking forward to this kind of relationship, with someone my own age who is not that far away (15 minute ride to his house) that's also growing weed. I really hope I can get the clones to survive so I can get my friend started off relatively easily. :Rasta:

You're going to find out that you know ALOT more than you know by teaching. I know whenever we get a green welder in the shop it reminds me how hard my job is haha:) I'm trying to get my sis into it but her bf is scared.

Edit:You and your friend are a little older, right? See I'm 31, anyone my age has much higher chances of 1. Needing money, call you know who. 2. In trouble, need a life raft. I just don't trust anyone under ~55 with any of this. Something about that old skool mentality that's so rare these days.

Get a room.

It sounds like a real blast and you'll both learn together. You'll be able to pull your resources together, too, to correct any major malfunctions.

That's great. It's always nice having someone close to talk about stuff, share experiences and even better if your clones can continue living there.

Yeah, Havoc, we are all less than 70 years-young, but not by much! :Rasta:

I don't understand why it's been such a hard sell to get these guys to grow. They're retired, have homes, are financially stable and they love weed. Then again, most of them love to come to my place and sit around and smoke up my stuff. For the most part, I enjoy the company and let them continue to do this. Maybe that's part of the problem. :laughtwo:

Hello growers!

I've got a quick update on my TDs today. It's been 8 days since flip and I am starting to see where the buds are gonna be! I know they have many weeks to go, but this is the first sign of real change I've seen since I flipped them. It doesn't take much to float my boat! :Rasta:

Looking Great, Nice and healthy :high-five:  Congrats on having a buddy close that is also going to be growing. I have a buddy that's close to me that I give Clones etc. to then there is another buddy a little further but still with in a 45 minute drive. It is a lot more fun when you can convers with others that share the same passion for growing.

I'm really looking forward to the partnership, PC! I've known this guy since elementary school and we have remained in touch over all these years. His life has been quite a roller coaster. He's served at least 3 prison sentences that I know of for various narcotics offenses. The last time he got busted was really sad because he was, like, 55 years old. We gave him hell for getting in trouble at such a ripe age. He finally seems to have seen the light. He's been clean for about 5 years (no more cocaine, heroin and booze). And he has embraced religion while also embracing the wonderful world of weed. He's the kind of guy that I really want to help because, in reality, he will always be on the road to recovery. :Rasta:
