this is a pic of a larvae that I plucked from my rapid rooter rooting plug,i only use these now for seedlings but used to use them for cloning,as do a lot of people.i noticed them 3-5 days after transplanting seeds to them.they seem to eat at the roots ,as the plugs that where most infested have very week growth and vigor.i would normally throw these away but cant with a 35 dollar seed sitting in them.i contacted gen hydro and they have been very helpful and claim that it is near impossible for there product(which is made by a subcontractor) to become infested with pest.but I am sure they will find different as I did a standalone test at hydro shop with no plant material, just water in the tray and covered it for the last three days, guess what it was full of them(fungus gnats).my word to you is use caution when using this product for the time being.i will post the results of the matter when gen hydro gets back to me.
