Fungicide turns buds dark. Is this trash

should never spray anything in flower. there really isn't anything safe. looks like it destroyed the pistils.

Thanks. My bad but its advertised good up to harvest. It may have been a little to concentrated, idk. Citric acid is the culprit I think. Should I go ahead and trash the plant ? Sounds like (and looks) its screwed....
I do not remember ever reading anything that says the loss of the stigma/pistils causes a decrease in the quality or quantity of the harvest. The trichomes are on the sugar leaves and other green areas of the bud. I have never seen any reason to get rid of a plant because the stigma/pistils turned brown because of something that was sprayed.
It takes a week or a bit longer and new pistils will start to grow as the bud gets larger.
Interesting that citric acid was at fault. I have been spraying with a citric acid mixture as a way to keep Powder Mildew under control and have not seen this happen before. But, I have had this sort of thing happen with sulfur sprays that were mixed a bit stronger than the recommended ratio. And, again, new stigma/pistils would start to grow back after awhile.

Thank you Smoking Wings!!!! I'm hoping to save this plant! Could the purple i fluence the darkening? I ask because it didn't seem to bother the bruce banner... I appreciate your help!
it really depends on the product. "safe" is relative. would have to know what the product is. a lot of garden products are toxic if you smoke them but are safe when the vegetable is washed for cooking.
there really is nothing here considered safe for cannabis. there are products in the US that are banned here. we have a tendency to be stricter.

it's only approved in 2 states and is barred here
i've used a citric acid before in the form of lemon juice spray i made myself. it is a home based solution used by a lot of gardeners to at least a small degree of effectiveness.
i'm not sure how different that product could be but its not sold here nor can it be shipped legally.
they still found a reason to ban it here.
The company might not have wanted to spend the money on having the testing done. It costs a lot to fill out all the paperwork and then pay to run the tests. If they figure it will cost more to do all than than what they will get back in market shares and sales they might not bother hence the product is not allowed for sale.
It's the other way around for products marketed as pesticides and fungicides.
They're banned unless/until they've been proven safe, and as SmokingWings said, some don't see the Canadian market as worth the expense.
is there enough market in only 2 states ? there's gotta be something more to it. it can't be that hard. it's only approved in 2 states lol.
it's only effective as lemon juice ..
