an its ever grippin' finger tips
squeezin' on its citizens
with its misleadin' lyin' lips
with all its propaganda
and its out-right lies
explainin' away the truth
while the death tolls on the rise
suckin' on the people
with its taxes and laws
I wouldn't shed a tear
if this government falls
we're being controlled and ruled
by these power hungry thieves
spewing forth these lies
that the people shouldn't believe
it's supposed to be up to us
it's our fuckin' country
I hope I never meet Bush
he wouldn't wanna confront me
I treat the government
like a jury treats a trial
and I ain't being' duped
by a handshake and a smile
I know whats goin' on
the facts are all right there
but theres alot of ignorant people
that just don't fuckin care
the truth should be told

we'll just drop some more bombs

we've become the enemy
I hate the place in which I live
and theres no way ever
that I could forgive
all the frivolous laws
that are completely unjust
and the way that the government
blatantly abuses our trust

most of us barely make it
on the bills and the rent
and I can't even tally
all the money thats been spent
but we can cast our vote
its this billionaire or that
and any way it goes
their pockets gettin' fat
we're on the bottom

can't even afford medicine
when we're livin' in pain
the poor ruled by the rich
thats the government today
and then you got the fools
believin' everything they say'

fightin' this fight
one vote every four years
just isn't enough
its our country and
we gotta get tough
how many people are unhappy
with the conditions today
and live check to check
makin' minimum pay
while the filthy rich
decide whats best for me and you
its supposed to be our country

we gotta stand up
and let our voices be hear
and let the government know
that we think it absurd
that they call all the shots
and they siphon of our pay
its supposed to be for the people

is a war that can't be won
