It was another contentious day in court Thursday for the owner of a medical marijuana dispensary in Fresno, who keeps saying that a judge has no right to shut down his business.
Judge Donald Franson turned down Medmar Clinic owner Rick Morse's motion on Thursday to have Franson disqualify himself from the case.
Morse objected, and kept talking until the judge asked him to be patient.
Eventually, after numerous interruptions, Franson told Morse to return in a few weeks for a contempt hearing in which Franson will decide whether to send Morse to jail, or fine him, or both, for violating Franson's order that shut down every pot dispensary in the city.
Morse says judges have overstepped their legal bounds by ordering the shutdown.
