It'd make a bit of difference depending on what media you're growing in. If you're in soil that's a reasonably decent choice. But if you're planning hydroponics the FF products can cause trouble for a first-time grower. In that case I'd recommend something that takes some of the difficulty out of the process, specifically the pH Perfect lines that Advanced Nutrients makes. New growers frequently run into problems caused by pH going out of whack and those nutes will solve that problem for you.

But as with everything, if you ask 10 people the same question you'll probably get at LEAST ten different answers.

Works good for awhile but not the best nutes for herb. Look into an botanicare or something else

Yeah, if you're strictly growing in soil, and especially Fox Farms soil, then their ferts are a decent way to do that job. I think of Fox Farms as upper level gardening more than actual "growing" if that makes sense.

Switch to hydroponics and try out the entry-level Advanced Nutrients products like their Hobbyist bundle of pH Perfect nutes. It's a night and day difference and you'll never look back.

The trio of FF nuts have served me well in my 1st grow(Blue Cheese).I am in my 2nd grow and still using them.My 2nd grow is a 4 plant grow (2 cheese,1 Chemdog 1 Pineapple Express) food, food, water, food, food, water till the last 2 weeks then I go with water, water, food! this helps flush during that 2nd to last week or so then in the last 10 daze or so I only run PH water of 6.0 through my ladies @ 3 gal. per pot ,this seems to do a good job of flushing out any left over nutes, then the last 3 daze I run 3 Gal. per pot 3 daze per day then nothing for 4 days, let them dry out and harvest, clean and sweet! I forgot to saw im growing in soil!!!:thumb:

You growin veggies?

I am a fox farm fan. I use there soil and big bloom only now. But when I was not growing organic I used all of there products. Great stuff. I have my buddy my leftover grow big and tiger and he used it on his outdoor grow. Did one plant with this and the others just your basic fert and the fox farm plant was 4 times the size as the others. She was about 7 feet wide and 6 feet tall. Yielded about 2 pounds of awesome nugs. One of her colas weighed almost a pound dried. Biggest plant and single colas I have ever seen.

Hope this helps!!!
