STOCKTON - Four people were shot Sunday - none of their wounds life-threatening - at an east Stockton house whose owner has a cannabis card and where marijuana plants were found, officials said.

The shooting followed by two days the robbery of the east Stockton home of Aaron Paradiso, a quadriplegic who uses marijuana to treat muscle spasms and operates a medical marijuana cooperative at his home. It was unclear if the incidents were related.

At 1:45 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to reports of shots fired at a house in the 700 block of South Wagner Avenue, according to a San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office report. A girl, 17, was shot in her hand, a man was shot in his abdomen and two others were shot in their knees and legs, according to the report. The victims, including the home's owner, were taken to local hospitals, the report said.

In their search of the house, deputies found grow lights and 30 to 40 marijuana plants in a bedroom, according to the report. The home's owner has a cannabis card - California state law allows the use of medicinal marijuana - according to the report. An investigation was ongoing.

In Friday's robbery, deputies reported that at 1:45 a.m., at least three men armed with semiautomatic handguns threw a rock through a window of Paradiso's home in the 1200 block of North Baldwin Lane, forced the occupants down and took cash. Paradiso said four robbers took about $26,000, money he said he had on hand for an upcoming vacation. He said he did not believe the robbery was drug-related.
