Found a flying pest on second occasion

Peace to all. I hope this finds everyone well. I'm a first time grower and I'm almost 10 weeks in. A few days ago I spotted a smallish brown/dark coloured, beetle like thing - with wings darting about my fan leaves. I got close enough to flick it dead without it shooting off, so either no fear or just far to stoned off my juicy glookies colas.

Anyway, all forgotten. And about 20 mins ago same thing, this is about 5 days later I'd say. And it's been just the one on both occasions.

Ill attach a pic I took apologies for the quality. Has anyone come up against these before? I'm guessing as they have been do infrequent and In such small numbers i shouldn't be bothered. My set up is in a tent, in my shed, in my garden.....

Thanks in advance. Be safe

Need a closer picture, preferably without the blurple light, in order to identify.

Honestly tho, if this tent is being kept outside, you are almost certainly going to have visitors from time to time, and it probably doesn't matter exactly what it is as long as it isn't one of the common things that eat our favorite plant. (mites, aphids, thrips, fungus gnats, whiteflies etc...)

Yeah your picture isn’t very helpful but like he said if it’s not one of the known pests then it’s probably not a problem. Google thrips, mites, leaf miners , aphids and white flies if it doesn’t look like one of them you’re golden. CL🍀

How can you be so sure that is it exactly? There are so many families of beetle that all look very similar. I think your insect is the wrong size, shape and color to be that exact one, but I would need much better pics to be sure.

Cannabis doesn't have any 'fruit' so Idk why it would want to come inside for that.

A part of the lygus family. Definitely bad for plants as they feed on the fruit
I'm baffled as it doesn't seem to be native to the UK. And it was just the one, on two separate occasions.

Your right, I can't be sure. Seems to be from the miridae family though. Apparently they burrow in the soil, funnily enough I actually spotted today's one after watering. So maybe that would bring it to the surface. As far as I can see, no leaf damage, nothing out of the ordinary - so I think I'm sweet. Was just a shock as I'm a first timer and things are going so smooth - almost to smooth

If I come across another (hopefully not) I'll be sure to try take a clearer pic. I check on them atleast 4 times a day.....nothing will go unnoticed

I don't see why it couldn't be. It would make sense as it was almost as if it had wings to hop about, not necessarily fly. Didn't strike me a flyer. More of a jet pack hopper

Insects can wander in and go to any sort of plant. Seeing them on a leaf or on the soil does not mean that they are going to eat the plant; they might just be checking it out or resting. Since the tent is in a shed in the garden it is not unusual to have insects stop for a while as they move around looking for new areas to live in.

When new insects show up I tend to leave them alone and let them do their thing. That way I can watch to see what they do. Most of the time they are just explorers. Sometimes they eat a leaf and then move on.

On the occasions when they are one of the nuisance types it is easier to recognize them because I left them alone long enough that I got used to seeing what they looked like and the damage they do. When that happens it is time to figure out the best control method and have it.;).
