Flower shock and re-flower term advice

Hi,
After 8 week veg and 2 week flower plants stopped making pistil due to shock ... left 6 week with no real growth.
(Reason: Light schedule mechanical cock up - allowing random lights on during sleep)
Corrected some weeks back (harvested some and left buds that were still green alone ). Its now making good pistil / bud swelling again.

Question: Is this temporary confusion or is it likely to go another full term of renewed flower on top of the old bud ?

Wondering whether to just chop and start over ... but would like benefit of others first hand experience before starting over

Ok, had a good look and its going. I'll put it down to experience

We call that "re-veg" - best thing to do is cut off the flowers and let the plant flower over again.

Live and learn - I've tossed plants that did that but they can be salvaged.

Guess that means it would have gone a full term on 12/12.
What with the combined mix of unplanned old and new bud growth it looked like it would increase the risk of bud rot + needed to make space in preparation for some new blood on 18/6 schedule.
Have re-vegged before but this plant wasn't worth holding up the show or the tweezer work.
