I have a question ,

right now I have autos and femz and I am getting close to have to give my femz the 24 hours of darkness my thing is what do I do with autos when it’s time to do so? will it affect my autos ? Or is safe to allow my autos the 24 hours of darkness too?
Or
Do I need to split the tent
half and keep the lights on for the autos and only give the femz the 24 hours of darkness ?

Just chop the finished girls in the AM - call it done.

Whats with the 24 hrs of darkness?? Is that some sort of recent horticultural phenomena coming out of Mars?? We are there now... I should make a call.

forget this 24hours of darkness thing.

there is no magic that can be done in 24 hours that will make your weed taste better, or be more potent.

Just harvest when the time has come.

I like to also give a full watering, even if the plant is still wet, the day before harvest, so there is plenty of water in the plant.

What will impact your taste is using a correct drying technique.
Flushing doesnt impact it. Darkness before harvest doesnt impact it.

Wait are you saying not give it 24 hours of darkness to flip my plants into flowering for my femz?

Yes, im saying to flip directly to flowering photoperiod. No need for 24 or more hours of darkness to flip it.

Unless science proves it contrary.

But its your call you know, just be sure that there is absolutely no problem flipping directly to 12/12.

It’s been on 18-6 , how do I switch the lighting without doing that 24 hours of darkness ?

I don't think the timing is critical for switching, just change your timer and go on about life, the plants will figure things out.
But that said, I am curious, are you planning to finish your autos up in 12/12?

I think autos will still grow under 12/12, but people prefer to keep them under a longer light cycle because you get more light to the buds over the course of flower

Yea I also don't bother with extended dark periods (not when switching light schedule, not before chopping, ya de ya da). Doesn't seem to be a point

Just switch the lights that one time, and otherwise try to keep lighting and everything as consistent as possible
