With medical marijuana heading back to the Florida ballot in November, a local sheriff is now speaking out in support of the initiative.
According to the News-Journal, Flagler County Sheriff Jim Manfre supports the effort to legalize medical marijuana in the Sunshine State.
Manfre said he always supported the bill privately, but was reluctant to back it publicly because of its controversial nature.
A similar measure in 2014 fell two percentage points short of passing.
