i would not use miracle grow, i would go organic, try alaskian fish ferts, or go with something else, bat guano, molasses, liquid kelp, and maybe some phosphorus, someone somewhere suggested these, i dont remember where, but hey they also said less is better till u get comfy with the feeding regemen---miracle grow will give u bad taste.

just run a lot of water through it til it comes out clear but this stunts growth so if you didn't burn it too bad just give it extra water for awhile until it balances out. Your plant will grow without ferts in soil it can pull enough nutrients on it's own. So when you do fertilize only mix it at half strength.
I use various different ferts and some of them are very expensive.
Veg cycle
fish emulsion (sold at home depot) you can get a gallon of this for pretty cheap if memory serves it's a 4/5/2 N/P/K nitrogen/pottasium/phosphorus

when your vegging you want a higher nitrogen level
I like to mix it up and not always give them the same thing
sometimes I'll use vigoro also
during transplant I give them vitamin B1 to help root growth
I can't think of the other ferts I use
Grow Big is one of them but it's sold at a hydro shop and quite expensive

Flowering
I'm also not to sure of this one either something like
Tiger Bloom
when flowering you want more pottasium and phosphorus
