First try

ive no clue what strain the are but hoping for some indica lol.
cfl's are cheap run you abuot 12-13 bucks for the really good ones, ive no clue how many u would need per. sq. ft. but they are working awsome and ionly had 4. there specs are 27w = 100w, 1660 lumens each bulb,i now have 6 of those they are the daylight style. i plan on gettin 4 marathons which are soft white for flowering, there specs are 45w = 150w, 2600 lumens each bulb.

i was told the daylight was best for veg and soft white was best for flowering so im goin to go with that seeing as they have been doin great so far. :allgood:
no balast you can plug them into your regular light socket, if you look at the pic of my lights there just screwed into a socket to light fix and inserted into a suspended power bar. they are also supposed to be power savers and dont get very hot great for a small grow closet such as mine :cheesygrinsmiley: , i have 2, ones on waiting incase its needed.

thanks for the props. sorry i dont know more abuot the specs.

can they be used for clones at all?
and if you have a 400 what light would it help at all if you put these on the walls so there was extra light on the sides off the plants or are they not light enough?

Righty-o guys hows it today?

I checked on my plants and still damp, the little ladys seem to just friggin love the new 2 lights i put in there. The growth seems to have speed up if you will, as since i checked on em yesterday, 2nd set of leaves seem to have sprouted out a nice amount not streched but still bushy, and now are making way for more new leaves, i see about 4-6 more on each plant! im just excited that they are making it this far!:adore: :adore: :adore: im going to begin colecting the peices for the bottom cabnet to be turned into a flowering room, incase my crop yeilds plenty females and need to have more then one flowring room.:adore: :adore: :adore: will prey for many days lol:adore: :adore: :adore: also will take pics in the next few days as i need batteries!

the plants are looking amaizing might grow a male just to have as a nice looking house plant lol.

thanks for the props mc. they're looking great it looks like i miight have to transplant in like 4-7 days though. what pot size would you guys recommend? im thinking this would be the last time id like to have to do this. id also like to starting flowering when they're a foot tall.

How much verticle space do you have in your flowering chamber? Every gallon of dirt adds 1 foot to your height requirement just in container space alone. (using an average of a 1 gallon pot being 1 foot tall)

Peace
MC

I've read that you can burn the tops of them with the cfl's is that untrue? How close can u get them to the tops?I like short bushy plants and I always keep my 4 ft tubes only a inch away from the tops.Could I do the same with these?

You want the lights close enough so the plants dont stretch themselves trying to get to the light but far enough away so the heat from the lights dont burn the plants.. I would say 6" or so with proper ventalation should do the trick.

yes andrew as long as you have good vent, the temp in my box is a nice 28c when the box is closed, and thats because i have my fan with restricted airflow. i plan on using 8 soft white to flower, u need the daylight to veg. I have my lights about 2" from my plants.

thanks for the props man.

ok update:they are getting yellow on the lower leaves and this is no good.
Is it nute burn? im not using any right now but would the fact that they are in a large space of new soil would that do it?
not enough nutes?
are they not getting enough light? im pretty much working on just 6 plants with one cfl above each(even though i have 7 one seems to be struggling and not keeping up with the other 6). in a cabnet where the lights are side by side.

any ideas?

I have pics awaiting aproval of the new set-up.

bah i grew a plant in a spiral bulb, all i had to do was put a fan on it, so no concentrated heat. yes you can burn a plant with fluoros, hard to do but you can.
