First time curing, RH in my shed is 60 to 65 at 54F I have a few questions

I harvested plants throughout the last few weeks. I have been resting I should then trim and jar after about 7 to 10 days.

I think because how cold it is and rh on the 60s this may be longer.

I left the first batch out on a table of buds for probably 3 weeks without putting in a jar. After baring it now shows around 60ish rh.

Another set I dried for 7 days, trimmed and put in 1 quart jars. It shows 72 rh, I have opened the jars. I also left a bunch of buds from that in a cardboard box as well and if I put my meter in the open box it shows 72. If the meter is on the table out of the box it's around 63 to 65.

Im trying to determine if I should just be waiting a lot longer to trim and or try to jar and just leave everything in large open cardboard boxes.

It will continue to get colder and the rh will probably stay the same as it rains more and more going into winter. I'm in the pacific north west.

I could bring them inside but I don't want to stink up the house. The rh inside is 55. I figured I could possibly bring jars in once they reach around 65idh and keep lids off to try to have them drop to 60 or 62.

I wanted to ask for suggestions as this is my first time and I have a few planes to do.

The next 2 plants I will use for rso so I thought of just pulling everything off the stems and putting them into in plastic sealed boxes without trimming as I will use an isolate on them. I thought I would check the rh and cure like the glass jars.

Me, I'd try to get them into an environment where the temperature doesn't fall below 60°F. Could you buy or borrow a cheap carbon filter / fan setup, if odor is going to be a show-stopper? Or build one? There are lots of threads about doing so in our DIY area (most of which are actually worthwhile, especially since you won't have a big light producing heat, or actively growing/flowering plants to deal with). Or, possibly, find a friend or relative who'd be willing to do a nice, long, slow dry (that's part of the cure, IMHO) in return for part of the harvest? If you lived across the street from me instead of across the country, I'd be all over an offer like that, lol.

In short... You managed the hard part, the grow and the time it took - I'd hate to think that your harvest might not end up being all that it could be now that you're almost "there." The difference between improperly dried/cured bud and that which is finished correctly is the difference between merely surviving... and living. Or, IDK, Potted Meat Food Product and a well prepared, home raised, grass fed steak.

@TorturedSoul does it really matter how it is cured if it is going to be used for an isolate production of oil? I will only have a tiny amount to maybe save to smoke at some point.

I will look into the carbon filter setup and I have a area to set it up in that is not used.

No, I don't suppose. Not if your extraction method only captures the trichomes/cannabinoids, anyway.

Has anyone put there buds, stems and all into plastic storage boxes after drying?

I'm going to use a box for buds and one for the leaves and other and then use all that to make oil later.

I'm also curious what effect does cold have in the curing process? From what I can see it just makes drying longer.

I have a bunch of 1q jars full too but I have to much to try to put all the bugs in there. Hence the plastic bins.
