First grow

This is my first grow, I'm basically just looking for comments or suggestions on what to do differently next time. Im on day 35 of flowering and to me she looks like her buds are lacking. I am using a 3 gallon pot with fox farm nutes and cfls. I don't know which strain as it is bagseed. I've not a few of the pistils have started to turn amber so I'm afraid the buds won't grow much more. The pics are from 3 days ago.

Hey man, Props to you on your first grow. Dont sweat the weight on this run. Just see it through. When you start with bagseed, it's always a toss up. Have you looked into better genetics^?
You got a female, she looks really healthy. You've obviously taken care. How much lighting? Maybe more exposure to budsights would help-
There's a lot of good help floating around here. For your next run Start a grow journal, everybody looks out. Start one with her while she fills out! It's never too late

Thanks for the reply! I actually received my "good genetic" seeds the other day I ordered. I have 3 cfls for her daytime period approx 4 inches above. I know my lighting may not be the best and before I use my name brand seeds I'll use my 300w led i just received as well. I know bagseed genetics are questionable at best but I wanted to grow my own bud and get a good test run under me before using expensive seeds lol. My wife tells me I baby my plant more than I do her lol. I knew I wouldn't have a picture perfect lady plant but I still think she's lacking, lol but I am happy she is doing as good as she is. And for my WW, Haze, Kush grows ill def be doing a start to finish journal.

Mine looked about the same at day 30-ish, only started getting slightly fatter about 4 or 5days ago. I'm around day 50 now.. not expecting much but the buds are getting bigger! Slightly... I'm also under the impression that they're lackluster.. Apparently some strains just take a bit longer. Or this is what we get for growing bagseed? Haha
It's also my first grow and using CFLs to grow bagseed from some of the worst weed I've ever had lol.

Yours are looking good! The bagseed I got em from was decent so I'm hoping mine is better with all the love I've gave her lol

Congrats on your first grow! Definatley finish this one out and get excited for the next one. You will be rewarded. Next go with a 5 gallon and add the LED now with the cfl. Good Lighting = food for them. Bigger pots or containers and more watts on light and good training with proper care = win! Good luck!

Hey I'm sorry I haven't updated yet I dropped the ball on this thread but honestly she is doing amazing in my opinion. I'll be taking pics before harvest in 2 days so I'll get some good pics for update. My next grow I'll have an actual grow journal from start to finish!

I can say for my first grow I'm already happy with the growth and development with cfl's but I'm curious as to if a diff lighting would of gave her more energy.

These are awful pics but took em about 3 days ago. I forgot about taking them I'll I looked on my phone. The quality is awful because my camera would sync with my computer to upload originals so I had to tar a pic of the pic. Just wanted to give you a somewhat view. My next actual journal will be on point.
