You probably need to give the plants a little more nutrients since you put them under a more powerful adequate light source. using just cfls requires very little nutrients since the plant is not getting a lot of light the plant will not use the nutrients up. yellowing leaves on the lower part of the plant means nitrogen def. most likely.

It probably would have been a good idea to top those plants or some sort of training to increase bushiness and lateral branching.
I would still top them or do some bending and tucking of branches anc leaves to get the plants opened up for the light to penetrate better.

hope some of this helps.

ok tank so just need more nutrient on the little one thats turning yellow.and you said to top them so is it better for a plant to get all big bushy. then to grow big nd tall?

with the nutrients dont use at full strength use at 1/2 or even 1/4 strength, this will give the chance the plant to recover, as long as you have not been over watering then it could be nute def, so use the nutes at low strength to start off with, check for nute burn and see how it goes, all been well they will look better in a day or 2

I thought your plants were hella small, disregard whatever I said about nutes, bud candy is good to make them bigger and sweeter, big bud too, people use fox farm bloom to. Are your plants flowering now or still in veg?

all id say is if your still using cfls then remove any big leaves that are blocking leaves or growth below it, removing a leaf to allow another leaf to get light wont affect the plant much, so i remove any leaf that is putting a shadow on smaller leaves or new growth starting at the nodes, if you have got big leaves blocking the node growth, the place new branches grow from then within a day you will notice the new branches really starting to grow, if the light cant get to them well then they will grow very slow.

also how much nute are you feeding and how often, how far away is the light, whats the temp and humidity like, when you water how much do you water each plant and are they in dishes so they can soak some water back up, depending how quick the water comes out the bottom, give us a shout back and we will do our best to give you any help and advice you need

ok. my plants are about 2 feet. on a 5 gal of soil. i water every 3-5 days depends. and i water about a a gallong wit a mix of fert. i dnt remember what fert i started to use. ill post it later today.
so i trim all the leavs that arereally big. i should of cut them way before. they were relly big.
temp is 80 degress. i cant make it to go down. do to the little space and the ventilation. is my first grow so berly lerning.
now i have a 400 watt hps.

ony a few that are blocking light to plenty of growth, taking loads will badly affect growth, plus if it was near to flower it would force loads of leaf to grow out the buds, only pull stuff that is say blocking a node and this will then make it grow a lot quicker

How did this grow turn out?
