First Grow: Wonder Woman Plus Others, 4x4 Tent, 1000W Light, DWC

Well, this is my first time growing and wanted to share my progress along the way. I really have no idea what I'm doing but my next door neighbor the infamous "Frizz" who turned me on to the idea will be teaching me as I go. We're hoping to net 3 pounds of sticky icky from 4 plants in a 4x4x8 tent. We will be growing : Wonder Woman, northern lights, blue Heyena, Black Heyena, and a mystery seed. I can update later more detailed info about the genetics.

Equipment overview:

4x4x8 grow tent
Phresh carbon filter (400 CFM)
Hurricane inline fan ( 435 CFM)
1000w MH/HPS light and ballast
4x5 gallon bucket DWC system

I will try and post a pic of what the set up looks like as well as our setup for germination.

We put all the seeds in Pete and and suspended them above water that has a 1/4 scoop of great white nute mix

Ive found i get better results blowing threw the light. Kerps temps a bit better i think. Any opinions would be nice.

Hello Tricman :welcome: Would you be willing to post a picture or a sketch of your setup? Anything that might result in lower temps piques my interest... :)

Similar tent as I just set up so interested in how yer light and fan are also.
Ill get my light, probably 600w HID, in a week ish but may get the fan sooner for my smaller veg tent. My 4x4x6.5 is mainly gunna be for flowering
Veg tent has a 4' 4 bulb t5 in it... Working great so far
My 1st grow also

Thanks Stavman and welcome. Luckily my setup is the exact same setup that my neighbor has so we know that a huge yield can be possible with this setup! Her main battle was combating the heat since she is growing in an upstairs bedroom, I however will be using the garage so hopefully we will not have heat concerns. Welcome sneakygreen! Were hoping for the best! My neighbor yielded a beautiful 2lbs dry from 4 plants using this exact same setup and grow method on her very first grow. The hope is that if we can minimize some of the complications she experienced we can get an even bigger yield! :cheertwo:
 
Back to what the seeds are! Were growing Wonder Woman which is a hybrid of Super Skunk and White Widow. We chose this one because of its high yield capabilities (want that 3lbs baby!). Blue Hyena and Black Hyena were both home engineered by Hyena America himself. He was kinda enough to send Frizz some seeds so we figured we would pilot them in my setup. Find him on here and check out his journals! Blue Hyena is a cross of Blue Dream and Amnesia Haze, while Black Hyena is a cross of White Widow and Blue dream. The Northern lights is a popular Indica strain that legend has it originates from Afghanistan. The last mystery seed is from one of TheFrizz's plants that impregnated itself. We will keep it a secret for now!
 
I have a room i built that i put a 4 by 8 tent in. Air is temp in room 67 to 71. I vent that nice cool air over my cooltube. Then out of room completely.

Not saying this is the right way but i do know that all this other BS you read about lights nuts training dont mean shit unless you take care of your THC ( temp humidity co2) an be able to control that in your tent before you even put a plant init. I dont know it all never will but i did bout give up lots of times. Lmao!! Im open to any suggestions anyone may have.

Best $100 ive ever spent know exactly what TH is. Green line is room temp. An you can adjust your fans accordingly with timers at first.

That's a pretty nifty and creative setup! I like the idea of having those conditions automated, anything to make growing more efficient! :cheertwo: Would you say you noticed a considerable increase in your yield/quality and/or plant vigor after setting the system up compared to before?
