Re: First grow - Question on LST training Please help !

If you look at the stem about halfway down you'll see there is a node, with leaves growing out the sides, and at the junction of those leaf stems and the main stem there are small shoots of new growth coming out.
The purpose of you bending the plant over like that is to expose those shoots to more light so they will grow faster and become new tops. Basically whichever part of the plant gets the most light will grow the fastest.
To achieve that you need to bend from higher up the plant - to try and expose that mid-section to the light. What you did already will have limited effect.

Looks better. It's really not rocket science. You'll see in the next week how the plant reacts, and you can act accordingly. :thumb:

Your stems should look like this. I lollipop mine so it wasn't needed for budsites. But this way you can see the stems and tying.

This one is 32 days old. So it pays to lst her early as you can. This one was like a softball at week three too tight to lst. Next one I'm stretching out more so I can tie her down earlier.

They're looking great. Can I make a important suggestion? You should have a counter tie on the bottom. Holding it the opposite direction you are training. It'll help keep it from stressing and snapping. Heres my gals. I vegged them for 12 weeks and they have been in flower for 1. I let my ties go when I put them in flower. Im kinda regretting now but I don't have the space in my flower house.

There are many ways to get to the same place, however you train them, and whether you top or don't top- or use LST, or FIM, or whatever. What you are trying to do (I'm assuming) is to end up with multiple tops, probably spread out horizontally to make a flattish canopy.
I don't find that it makes much difference when you do it or how you do it. I've had 24" plants that I bent over low to the ground and let grow up into multiple tops.
For that matter I once did the same thing with a 8' greenhouse plant (turned out to be male).
There's not really any way you can screw up too badly. Even if you accidentally break the plant in half - well, that's just another way of saying you topped it.
