First Grow, Pre Flowering Male?

I joined this site about a month ago and I have learnt so much, so thanks.

I'm posting hoping to get confirmation before I do anything drastic on my first grow.

Can you confirm, this pic is an early pre flowering male. Right?

Thanks. This looks slightly different to the diagrams and is growing slightly up the stem but from what I see is a crab claw and male?

Its hard to tell, it seems like it should be popping out lower to the node than that, but if it was me ide just wait for a little bit till you can see the pollen sacs to be sure. But as soon as you can tell pull it if your not wanting to use it for pollen collection or something of that sort
