First grow! Open to advice

During this time that the corona is going around and we have to stay quarantined I decided to start growing indoor for the first time! I sprouted my seedlings on Monday which was the 12th everything was going good until I’ve been noticing they’ve been stretching? Unless that’s how there supposed to look. it’s been a week now, I ordered better led lights from amazon which I gotta wait a week for. I’m no expert at this it’s for my use only and for fun. I will upload pictures of my plants on what they look like now! If I can get any advice would be super helpful!! Thanks again for taking your time an reading this.

Welcome @Thisgirllovesweed congrats on your first start! You are getting a lot of stretch in your stem because your plants are too far from the light source. Get them as close to it as you can without them getting too hot till your bigger lights show up and that will stop. What kind of light are you using right now? And just a note, be careful not to overwater, weed plants need a good dry between waterings. CHeers mate, gl to your grow!

Welcome!! I'm also having the same problem, mine are actually worse. (you can see in my journal link below if you would like). The good news is that when you re-pot the plants you can bury some of the stem so it stands up proper. Good luck!

as of rn I’m just using basic house 2 12w led light I have connected together in my closet I keep them on for 18hrs on an 6 hours off I’m just waiting till I get the better lighting otherwise I gotta work with what I have now I will water when it looks thirsty maybe I have been watering to much thank you for the advice will keep you posted when I get the better led light!

Thanks, trying to have patience... They grow pretty big in those small pots, you should wait more than a week. Keep posting pics, people here are very helpful, they will tell you when to change pots. If it gets worse, you can gently prop them up with something until stem strengthens. I'm a newb too, lol, but just tryna help with what I know. Excited to see how your plants turn out! You should start a journal, would be nice to follow your progress and learn some new tricks. I want to grow indoor when my outdoors are done.

Waiting sucks ahah but I sure will I’m still getting use to this website never used it till today so I gotta learn where I can start my journal cause I need the help! But thanks again for the idea will use it if it gets worst which I hope not. We could help each other along the way! I bought nutrients an ordered better lighting which I’m waiting for it to get delivered which I know will help my babies a lot more than it is now! It just all takes time

Also, add journal link to your signature in your settings, so people can follow your progress and check out your cool marijuana pics lol. You're right, waiting is the hardest part!

My 2 cents is you can bring the lights down to about 3 to 5 inches above your sprouts, just put your hand over the seedling and lower the light till the back of your hand is "warm" and watch it...they grow fast. And you can fill your pots up to the little round leaves (cotyledons) to stop the stretch, if you have to transplant to do that, I recommend it, and keep that light close

nice big buds.. ive had the hps 1000 grow.. i like the cmh no glasses needed.. sun glasses to bright ..
think better but my 1st grow with it.. looks like main cola u didnt top it .. i top a few times .. makes the
canopy more even and more top buds..

dame clones out grew my t5 ho set up, waiting in front of glass door.. tops where burning up
but i got days to go in flower tent now.. not putting nothing in there..

maybe i need another dubie to concentrate i dont think i even get high anymore.. cant waite to try my buds

what are you going to grow in medium? soil ? hp pro mix you need a fertilazation campaign general hydro is good
ph meter to lower ph water 6.5 6
etc..

if soil or hp i would get smart pots fabric pots excellent for roots.. i use pro mix and mix ferts to the mil or mg with graduated cylinders and nice scales not quite lab grade.. ph test with liquid and drops or sticks is good cheap
or get a meter and buy test stuff and crap.. i use drops for hp mix is good hydro u need ph meter..

to me hydro is pain in ass and often makes me cough rough.. i like my stuff i do flush..

so hope that helps u out .. yes fill your cup now .. buy a t5 ho flo light .. will stop the strech

2700 k 6400k mix is good 4 bulb wide 2 ft is fine for a few plants. 4
