Hi everyone

Im hoping to get some help with my first grow. First ill give you a bit more information. My Tent is in a cold room, so i have a heater inside to keep the temps up. i was having a problem first with the day cycle temp below the night cycle temps, this was with 18/6, so for the time being i switched to 24/0 and this has kept the temps more constant (20c to 29c) while i wait for my temp controller.

So just over a week ago i mixed up some fertilizer. Im pretty limited to what i could get my hands on for fert so i just got some schultz liquid plant food 10-15-10, i mix to 1/8 of the recommended strength (box says to do 7 drops pers liter and i mixed 7 drop in 8 liters), and gave each plant just over a cup. The next day they look good, so when i checked 2 days after they seemed fine but 2 were a little dry so i gave them another half cup of the 1/8 fert mix as i was in a rush late for work and figured, "aww that'll be fine"

Next day i start to see some burn on 1, (day 11)

and 3 days later, day (15)

another couple days later, now its starting to show on the other plants. (day 17)

After this i got some PH'd water 6.5 to 7, (Filtered Tap water, under sink filter for chlorine) and gave them a good watering to try and flush out the plants, but i don't think i used enought water for flushing, and it didn't help them any.

Now to today, (day 20)

Any Help and suggestion are greatly appreciated. I haven't fed them since just PH'd water.
I know now that i maybe should've used a different soil... maybe the time release nutrients in the soil are messing with me? Should i do a real flush? and how much water to use?

my main concern is that im at my window to top my plants is soon. I'm topping because i have limited grow height. Can i still top with these problems?

Thanks iti

Re: First grow, looking for advice with problems. NYCD auto

I'm not familiar with Pro Mix but if it considered "soil" medium you shouldn't need Nutes the first couple weeks as the plant has what it needs to start with. Their website says 6 months time released so adding to that shouldn't be needed, why I don't care for time released stuff even for regular plants as you have no control over it and if it is getting too much it will keep having too much until it changes. I'm still new at this and learning but the newer growth doesn't look that bad, can't really base a lot off of the older damaged leaves, as usually the damage is done and you can correct the problem and they won't change, so what you want to pay attention to is the new growth and what it is doing or how it is looking. I'm sure someone with better knowledge will chime in, just have to be patient sometimes.

Thanks urbanmonk

I'm limited on what supplies I could get, when the Christmas stuff comes out the gardening stuff goes away. Anyways it's all I could get at the time, hopefully I'll just water and hope for the best from the time release fertilizer.

Hoping to be able to top tomorrow

Iti
