My girlfriend picked up these clones from a local dispo. And we xferred them into bigger pots. Now what I'm wondering is after a week of us having them do they look fairly healthy and good growth for their age? Again I'm new to all this so I just get worried.
The tips on the bottom leaves of my afghan are brown looking almost like they are burnt any ideas on what it could be or if it's just normal?

Not technically a brown leaf just a few tips of it are slightly brown and a little dis coloring on the middle only this leaf really, just worries me haha.

Well I am using the ff trio and I went by their feeding chart and realized it was wayy to much mutes for their size so just switched to ph'ed water for now.
Some other questions I had are when should I start slow feeding them nutes and when should I switch them into a 5 gal smart pot?

Your doing well and makingcgood decisions after the hot dose.
Ffof is really hot soil. I wouldnt give any nutes until you hit flower. When you transplant her into a 5gal pot she will have all the nutes she needs for about a month at very minimum in the fresh new soil too. Trust me on that one, theres plenty in there for now. When you hit flower we can help you get the nutes going and adjust dose for flower cycle.

If the burn from the nutes stops where it is your good. If it keeps going let us know. Your doing well.

Yea. I would keep them there for a week or so. Being a newer grower it would be too easy to mess up watering in a 5 gal at this point. Shes very happy in what shes in yet. Close but not yet.

Are these girl to young to start training?

Not at all too young. What do you have in mind? Some lst perhaps?
I see shes planted off center in the pot. I would bend her towards the roomy end of the pot and secure her there. If that's what you want to do, go for it and show us a pic.

Yes lst is what i was thinking she fairly flexible right now. Any ideas on what the best thing to use to hold her down with?

Plenty of things around the house you can use. A lot of users just fold a rubber band around the main stem and attach more rubber bands to it for length and pull over and duct tape to the pot.

Or you can use a piece of stiff wire. Bend it in the shape you need and run the 2 ends of the wire into the soil some. I prefer to keep wires towards the outer edges of the pot if I can so I don't disturb roots too much.

Click either of my grows in my signature and you will see the types of pots I use allow me to wrap a flimsy wire around the stem or a branch and just shove both ends of the wire into whatever of the 100's of holes are in the sides of my pots. I love those pots because they are fantastic for roots and also make any training super easy. If you go through the AK47 journal in my signature you will be able to see how I use wire with my pots.

Show us when you get her bent over!

Hey there,

I don't think you have anything to worry about dude the girls are looking healthy, ye definatly think its a good call not overload and hold off on the nutes.

Lst is a good method from my experience which isn't a lot as this is my 1st grow :) so take what I say with a pinch of salt haha ;)
If you can go through my profile onto my pics you can see 2 bag seeds I started off to practice on. I have topped them at the 6th node and tied them down for lst and you can really see them bush out. If you cant go through my profile iv got a thread on the go in FAQ too called ''new grower please help''

you will see how Lst has worked for me and iv never done it before as I said my first grow, so cant be that hard if I can do it lol.

hope this helps anyway mate, all iv done is take my time and research a lot before going into things. Also the best thing iv learnt so far that I could tell you is properly '' Less is more to start with''

Take it easy dude.

Will do i have 5 gal. Smart pots that i can put them in just not sure when to do that then i could do the rubber band idea and clothes pin them to the pots but i guess the duct tape will do for now.

Went ahead and used some string i found laying around the house and taped it to the side of the pots. Also gave them a feeding with a half tsp grow big per gallon, they each took a little over 1/4 gallon with little run off. Didnt bend them over to much as the girlfriend was saying that they wont like it but whatever. Lol.
We will see if they accept it and rech for the sun in a few days and then maybe before the next watering or sometime mid next week put them in their for ever pots. Im hoping the smart pots will help them.
