Mate I started growing with 600 hps and my seeds were straight under mate as soon as shell was off.so whoever told u that misled u lad oviously have light high dont wna burn them. but ul see them stretch if its to high.just lower light abit and always have a fan blowing between ur lights and ur plant canopy with hps.ur plants will thrive.best of luckalso with hps use the 30 second hand rule. If in doubt ur gna burn ya babies hold ur hand flat above ur plabts count for 30 seconds if aint burning ur hand then its all good height for the plants happy growing every1
1 of My current grows. autotxreme 600hps grow in my sig. take a look page 1 straight under the light
.3 plants.7 weeks old now but update tmz for that grow there even bigger than the pics u see. 1 is 7 foot tall there beasts hope this helps
Has anyone put together one of them parabolic lights. Biggest mission ever. A million nuts n bolts but I got there in the end. Just as I was about to take some photos my battery died so unfortunately it will have to wait until tomorrow night now. I'm just wondering as to how quickly the soil will dry up now as that light is a lot warmer than the. Previous but I shall just check in the morning n see how they r. Also should I bring adding any nutes at this stage?
I think I'm gonna struggle keep the desired temp until my tent arrives. I'm currently sitting at 63 but I have just lowered my lamp to about 18 inches and now it's morning time I'm hoping the loft might warm up as the day goes on. It looks like one of my pineapple expresses have croaked it as still no show of her yer and all the others seem to be growing at a rapid rate -_-
help prop it up with toothpick or paperclip get it closer to light but not the hps...hence why we told you to use cfl early on rather then hps to reduce stretching early on. it should live, just prop it up and baby the baby
Tied it up gently with a bit of string n stick. Hopefully should do the job. I think the stretching was due to the normal 40w lamp I tried to start them off with as I didn't want to damage the roots at all by giving them to much light. I think I'm over doing it tbh with trying to be careful with me while it is still early stages.
1 of the plants still hadn't come through the soil so I had a little dig down n just saw it lookin a bit yellowy so I don't think she gonna pull through but I uncovered her n just have to wait n see now
