Eleven firefighters were left under the influence after eating
marijuana-laced baked goodies delivered to a US fire station.
Two were so sick after eating the drugged desserts they had to be treated at
hospital.
And with almost half its firefighters incapacitated, Elkhart Fire Department
in Indiana was forced to call in staff who were on holiday to work overtime.
"The firefighters are extremely upset that someone would do this to them,"
said Fire Chief Jerry Vaughn. "It just blows my mind. I guess that's why
firefighters and policemen have a job. You really can't understand criminal
minds."
Mr. Vaughan said because the drug was ingested, rather than smoked, it went
through their systems faster.
