Kinda forgot about this place.. :/ and it helped me so much in my first grow ! thumbs up..
Here was the first grow
First Aquafarm Hydro Grow
I wanted to follow up with a report of the second grow.. but I was soooo stupid.. I changed soo many factors..
I tried some auto strains.. bought different pots.. so no aquafarm but same principle.. etc..etc.. and was rewarded with two grows of low yield, yet tasty weed but the plants did not develop at all..
Now I went backt to my first strain.. the Channel + which is a Critical Mass from Medical Seeds in Spain.. (BigBud & Skunk)
And hey I got to nice healthy plants again..
but they grew very differently from the first time.. if I look at those pictures now I'm like.. damn.. that's how I want them to grow.... but I gave them more veg time this time around and it's looking nice..
It's all pretty much the same.. 400watt Lumatec Dual Spectrum.. Canna Nutrients.. 1X1m tent
But it's in cheap aquafarm like pots.. they work but I do notice the difference.. well they are smaller for one.. Not rectangular and they have a waterpump and not an airpump system.. this might be a factor? with the Aquafarm it kinda sputters the water over the pebbles and with the pump it kinda floods the pebbles.. I can't leave the pump on too long.. with the farm I could have longer periods of watering and maybe there's more oxygen in the water that way?
I've also pierced the cheaper pots so the roots could grow in the reservoir and added an airstone.. but the rooting is nowhere near the same level as in the farm.. still I think it's gonna be an okay harvest me thinks..
I'm soo sick of smoking other stuff around here.. homegrown tastes best..
I really want to get the hang of training plants.. i want short bushy plants with nice buds.. so next time I'm gonna try the mainlining technique.. I always top. but I forget to clean the plant.. I still don't like ripping of parts when they are young.. so I end up with the two scruffy ones at the bottom of which usually just one goes lang and tall in the canopy and the other one stays somewhere down below all skinny.. get rid of those.. Pull open.. top again.. and go!
